Child Like Faith in the Storms....

Well I thought that I would begin the spring season with a post from this past week that definate has to do with spring weather. Last weekend our boys stayed with my mother n law while Shane and I went for some quailty time together. We took the kids over about one or so then off we went. First we went to exchange a book for a rug at Babies R Us for Maiya. Then we decided to hit the Olive Garden, and by the way,not a place to go when you are on a healthier eating plan. What was we thinking!! LOL. Then we decided to walk it off in the mall. We went to Macy's looking around, then the CALL about the STORMS!! Shane's mom called and told us about the tornado warnings so I was like let's go,then I thought no, the best thing I can do is to pray and stay right where we are. Then another call from Jennifer telling us that the storms were headed our way. Then the call across the store for all customers to meet downstairs in the center in the store. So we wait about 30 minutes and thank goodness it blew over. Then we continued on our date.
So yesterday I was talking to Adyn about storms since we had storm warnings yesterday also. I asked Adyn if he was scared at mammys when they had to get in the bedroom with pillows and Adyn said "No",Mammie said that "God will help us." Bailey said he wasn't scared either. What a sweet and beautiful example of child like faith. He just heard it, believed it and spoke it. Adyn has been speaking this all week. The bible does say that we have to have the child like faith to enter into his heavenly kingdom. Mark 10:15.
Later on I had told my mother n law about what Adyn had said and she said that kids know and listen more then we think. I am thankful that my children felt safe in the midst of the storms. Life sometimes throws us storms and it is such a blessing to feel that peace in the storm. Blessings,Gidget

Yikes -- April is officially the start of tornado season up north, too. How neat that your parents reinforce what you're teaching your kids!
