ICE,ICE,BABY

Well it has been one week since my last post! Things have sure been busy as we have been walking day by day thru this ICE STORM! It all started Monday night with a little rain,then dropping temps,freezing rain,ICE,ICE,then snow and ICE.I woke up about 5 a.m. Tuesday morning with NO POWER.I thought well just a few hours and we will have it.So then hours turned to days.NO POWER in our TOWN.Only one gas station open,no grocery stores open.The lines to get gas and kerosoene were hours long.
We have made trips out of town everyday just for : gas,grocerys,banking,kerosene,generators,trips to other houses to check on people,we even rescued my mother n law and her granny.Our house has been freezing cold,no hot water,plug this up,plug that up,unplug this!!!! NO COMPUTER,NOT EVEN CELL PHONE SIGNALS.Our entire town has been BLACK!!!! Some people we know have even left the state!

After all this this week,after 4 days of running from one place to another from dusk till dawn,we finally have got everything we need for now,I still can't wash clothes but I can make it to a laundry mat soon.Power is being worked on 24/7 around here.Our Walmart is finally open and we now have 2 gas stations.

This has definately been a test of faith,patience,persistance,love and so much more.I am reminded even more of the little blessings that we have in our world. The lord has protected us as we have traveled,provided what we need and we still can smile.So I am grateful.Some moments I thought this is so hard,but even in the midst of this ICE STORM,I still felt blessed.We even took some video footage a couple days ago.I wish we would have thought to record this storm earlier.I might post what we have if I can get to it. Did anyone see this on the news? Good Morning America was even at one of our stores here in town.Well it looks like the sun is shining today,and I am so glad.It is such a blessing to even see the sun shine and to feel the warmth of the sun. As my boys said,This ICE was awesome! I say it was a storm alright,and just happy that we can sit home today and be LAZY after all our hard work.

RFE DAY

Well today I recieved a pink letter in the mail from immigration requesting more evidence. This is called a RFE!!I knew this was coming because that lady called me that afternoon about needing this form.She said Dillon would know what to do,but she was just sending me a copy of this letter.She told me not to be overwhelmed when I saw this. Well I was OVERWHELMED,but I am better. Has this happened to any of you? I will just be glad when Dillon gets what they are wantin. Then she said they could have it approved in just a matter of hours.So it is good that someone reliable is working on our process.So I am still thankful even though we need a few things corrected.
We also recieved our refund check in the mail for what I sent in too much,LOL,glad they caught that mistake! I will post when our approval comes in.
I have got to hang Maiya's letters on her wall,and get her comforter on the bed,then I will post some pictures of her sweet room. Well I hope you all have a great weekend. Gidget

It sounds good!

Ok,now I feel like things are moving.I was sitting at the table yesterday and this thought came to me that I should call immigration.So I did. I called to ask them the status of our application,and this lady was like, wait a minute, I need to do some research on this. She said our file was showing in 2 screens but for some reason it has not been assigned a officer? She was puzzled.Well first off,our file was in the refund department,and it was suppose to be in a adjudicating file.So she said she would call me this morning. She acted like it should have DONE been approved!

Well I just got off the phone with her.I answered the phone and she said" GUESSWHAT,I have got your file in my HOT little hand!!"She said she had a few things to do then she will look over our case and talk to me this afternoon. I do not know what this means,hopefully approval is on the way!She said our refund check is on the way,so that is good.She said I will get this rolling for you.Who knows,maybe Maiya is coming quicker then I think and we just do not know it yet? God knows all things and anything can happen when the lord is painting the story.I hope for good news this afternoon,can u hope with me? Have a great day,Gidget

Great Deals Therapy!!!!

Well this morning my friend and I went walking at the mall. Shhhhh, P.S. I am trying to get into better mommy shape by the time we travel to get our cute energetic daughter. I think I somewhat lost some of my shape along the way? LOL!!! I have to keep up with 3 soon,I have got to be in SHAPE!!!

There is a cute kids store in our mall going out of buisness.All clothes were five dollars.They sell top notch clothes. I got Maiya this cute black velvet Hartstrings dress. Adyn a Hartstrings shirt. I also got Maiya her first pair of Stride-rite walking shoes,some cute bows,Le top tights, and this beautiful Indian doll regular this doll was 75.00 and I got it for TEN BUCKS.All she needs is a pretty indian dress. They didn't have anything left in Bailey's size!!! Let's just say I got like 350.00 worth or more for 50.00! Now that is what I call deals. I didn't really wanna spend money,but I could not pass this up!! Things are so expensive,so I am really happy to get some deals.

So now we are waiting still on 800 approval.I hope it comes soon.I am ready to mark this off the list.Congrats for progress for other families in their adoption journeys!!!

I hope a big batch of referrals come soon,and I hope one will be our little "Maiya". The room is coming together great.Sometimes I just walk in there and sit on her bed. I just keep telling myself one day,one day. It use to be my bed when I was growing up. Maiya will have my dresser and nightstand too. My dad and husband put it all together the other night.I will post some pictures when I get it more close to being finished. Tax time is coming soon. I am hoping and praying that we will be provided with enough for a referral.

Dreaming...

Well last night I had another dream and it was great. It was about this adoption process.I haven't been getting my hopes up about a referral since Tami's letter.That is ok,I just keep in my mind when the time is right,but at the same time there is a little part of my heart that says it can happen sooner!

Well this is how it goes: We were driving down the road and I had my cell phone and it started to ring and it was Tami,but my phone MESSED UP so I couldn't answer,now just imagine my face,LOL! Then I have Shane to drop me off at a place to check my email.I checked it and it was Tami saying,"We have a big batch of referrals coming,about 7 of them."She went on to say,"There are 5 girls and 2 boys." Then she tells me that it is possible that one could be ours.Then as time went by,not long, and we finally recieved our picture of "Maiya".She looked just as what I dreamed months ago.She was beautiful with straight hair, and a smile u could not resist.This is my third dream.I look forward to the day when I can say this is REAL.All I have for now is my hopeful dreams and that will have to be good enough until I see her sweet face.I am very thankful that these dreams have been wonderful,exciting and peaceful. I just had to jot these down because it is special to me when I dream of our daughter,and I don't want to forget them. This is when dreaming is a blessing.

Today we start painting her room,I am so excited just to get started.I will post some pictures when we get it done.Have a great weekend.I hope we all take more steps next week in our adoption journeys....Gidget

A New Year...

Well today is the beginning of a new year,where life will take us all down different paths. I hope that down one path is bringing our daughter "Maiya" home along with many other important things.I have to say I have a few things in my mindset,but I always try to struggle and do better in different areas of my life and for the life of us as a family of 4. How about you?

We spent the evening going to a church service then out to eat at Cracker Barrel,I actully thought the barrel would crack before we got our food.Maybe they had to bust it out of the barrel.LOL,Ok so u could say we waited a while for the food.Then we went home just to be together.

I think my husband is looking to start raising Quail,yes a bird,although very healthy to eat and some fun for the boys.How about a name for this little farm? Maybe the boys can come up with a name.

A little bit of a update is that: I called immigration to check on our I800 status and they said hopefully we will hear something by the first week of Feb.It is pending for a officer to approve. Febuary of last year is when we started this journey. So Valentines Day is coming,immigration is coming,our 1 year mark on this adoption is coming,and what if Maiya is coming? WOW!! Feb. could be a exciting month. I feel like I need to get started on those adoption classes online and other things so we are not rushing last minute,the room and so many things just seem like they are lined up waiting to get done.Oh well,stop and breathe,and go with the flow.

So we are hoping and hoping,and more hoping that our tax refund will be enough for our referral.That would be such a blessing to us.So we will wait and see.
