The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Just a thought, where will it lead?

Well on this past Wed,we took down Maiya's baby bed,she still sleeps good with us:) Shane mentioned that we can save the bed,and I thought good idea. Then I thought more, what if this means a sister for Maiya? Shane makes no comment.LOL
We also put away the walker to to be also stored in the attic.
A while back I thought about selling them both. But when it was time to actually decide what to do with them,I couldn't give them up?! Puzzled.:)
Thankful for our 3 kiddos.... but if it is Lord's will, we will settle for #4.:)

We took it down to allow more room in her room so we could put up her sweet kitchen set that we got her for Christmas. She still has her daybed for when she starts to sleep more in there.

I am so excited for her and the boys,Christmas Eve evening is when we open gifts with our children. Christmas day at 5 we go to my dad's and then head to North Carolina to visit family.

Merry Christmas to you all. Hoping to have her video posted here soon.
As soon as I get the thing uploaded.

Truly Christmas,Truly blessed.

Well as this week is moving along right into Maiya's first Christmas in America in her home. Our first Christmas with her,I stop to think tonight for a moment.

Christmas brings memories from behind to my mind and the know of the present and wondering of the later days. I think back to how it was when our gone on loved ones were here...and so on.
I get so happy when I think of what a special time of year this is for Maiya and the boys. How they will get to watch Maiya open her presents and how she can watch the boys.
My heart hurts for those kids who don't know about Jesus and the meaning of Christmas.
Maiya has been home today for 7 months. She is now 19 months old. Thanks be to God that she is home with her family.

For the first time since we have been married,we are leaving Christmas day night after my dad's home and we are heading to North Carolina where Shane's dad lives. Shane has never been there. The boys are so excited and so are we. I feel like great things will happen on this side. I have been waiting for this for years. It will be about a 12 hour drive all night. We will be prepared with snacks, toys, and we got a couple of T.V.'s for the van. The boys are gonna do some hunting,4 wheeling, maybe deep sea fishing, playing and of course eat Granny's good cooking. Maiya and I will have lots of girl time too, maybe hit some shopping bargins, and he's only 2 hours from the OCEAN. One of my favorite places. I hope the weather is nice.
They have never seen Maiya yet either. So this will be a special time for us all. We pray that we go in God's will and that family time is good.

Today I was at Walmart and as I was loading groceries up in the car,I caught myself singing "Go tell it on the Mountain...that Jesus Christ is born:)

I reflect on how wonderful our Christmas play and musical was at church this past Sunday. Bailey playing Silent Night, and being the cute fallen star in the play ( he had to go twinkle),while Adyn in his little blue robe was playing the part of Joseph. Maiya watching in her sweet red Christmas dress as she ate one gummy bear after another.LOL

How blessed we are,so truly blessed with health, safety, food ,a home,we have one another, and I could go on...but most of all,we have the Lord, the one thing that matters above it all. The one thing that truly makes a white Christmas white.

It is the washing away of sins that the blood of JESUS can only take away...it washes them away white as snow. What can wash away my sins, nothing but the blood of Jesus, what can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of JESUS, oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow,no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of JESUS.

A truly White Christmas is when a lost soul finds God and all sins are washed away. That is why our savior came and that is truly Christmas, having God in your soul.
May you have Christmas always.

Dedication day!

Well yesterday the 28th of November was a very important day for us as a family of 5.
Our church had a annual dedication service for kids and we were blessed to be there as a family with my dad and Shane's mom and aunt to dedicate our children to the Lord. The Lord has blessed us so many times over and over. And our children are a blessing everyday.
It was wonderful to be able to HONOR GOD and give our children to him in a commitment that we will raise them in the Lord to the best that we can. We will instill in them just as the Lord wants us too. As our pastor said,it's not a magic ceremony to say they will always be perfect. It is a serious commitment that we wanted to make to God and to our children. The entire sermon was about children and how they should be raised. At the end all families stood in front of the church and we prayed for all the families and children. They each recieved their very own bible and certificate. The kids had their matching Christmas outfits on which were so sweet. Maybe I can get our picture posted here soon of this day, thank goodness Shane's aunt had a camera.

Thank you Lord for who you are, and for all you do for us in our lives.

New Fenwick addition and more...

Well we finally got Maiya's corrected birth certificate back which has India listed as the country not Indian. :)It has taken about two weeks or a little more to get the birth certificate right. Make sure you double check it all before your lawyer sends it off or have them too.
So I go hopefully Monday and apply for her social security card. Then we might try to get her citizenship applied for by November 23, if finances permit. If not we will just get it at the first of the year. No big deal,Dillon gives you back four hundred anyway so the most we will be out it a little over 200 if we have to wait. But it is not like she is starting school and has to have it immediately. So we will see,and I will be so glad when the bucks stop coming out. I believe that they just put any price tag on what they want cause they know people will have to for their adoptions,to me,kind like roberry.:( I have never said that, until now.
Of course she is priceless so the thought of maybe having to wait till Jan and apply for the citizenship doesn't bother me,what is 200 more when we have come thus far?
DRUMROLL PLEASE....On the other hand,is a handful sweet Yorkie that we just got yesterday and suprised the kids. The boys love him,and well...Maiya just wants to squeeze him. So no puppy for Maiya for now. We just let her pat and say EASY. This doggy will go out on a leash,it will be mostly me training him,but I don't mind since I am at home all the time. The boys can help with other things like the feeding and playing. We are trying to decide on a name,we like JOJO or Simon? Watcha think? UPDATE The little guys name will be Simeon.
A early Christmas present for all of us. Cami was such a sweetie and we hope this one will be too,I believe he is a winner.:)He will be about 3 lbs full grown.

Shane and Bailey went dear hunting this morning,I hope they get a buck for Bailey.
Tonight at church we have our missions conference and Maiya and I are gonna wear our Indian outfits. They will have different booths set up to represent certain countries.Hoping our special email goes out by the end of this month.Stay tuned.
Another special event coming up is that we will be dedicating all three of our children to the LORD on November 28th at our church, they are having a ceremony.I hope to have pictures too! Bailey came home yesterday with 4 A's and 1 B HONOR ROLL and he also got high CATS test scores from last year. He will get to attend a honor roll breakfast,a ceremony later in the year and get a metal. We are so proud of him.
Adyn has learned to write his full name,YAY. And Maiya is learning what baby discipline is like. With a ferm NO,NO.! Hoping to get our family pictures done soon.
It seems like Nov and Dec are such busy months. Have a great weekend. GiGi

Date night...FINALLY!

Well this past saturday,Shane and I had our first date since Maiya has been home. It will be six months on Nov 15th since she has been in our arms.:) Time is sure moving on as always. We had a great time together! The drive to Indiana was so peaceful. We first hit OUTBACK to eat,and the food was grand. Nice conversation and laughs without interruption. Priceless. We went a few places, but the ones I like the most was the VINEAYARD christian bookstore and starbucks drive thru.:) We did check out Toys r us just a little for the kids. We shopped a little for each of them. It was fun to look around and so much easier without him sitting in the van with the kids why I go in and scope out the store. That's what we did last year and my dad watched them the day after thanksgiving,we will never do that AGAIN. Atleast... not this year. It was too crazy at the stores, but fun on the other hand, and napping in the car in the parking lot was not fun,he slept, but not me.LOL.:)
We have decided that we should do this atleast once a month. Maiya and the boys did so good. Our pastors daughter came over to watch them and did so great with the kiddos. They went to the park, pizza hut, and walmart. I think she said next time she might skip the walmart trip,I told her...GOOD IDEA!!! LOL. So we will be using her in the future more. I like it cause she can come to our home and she only lives like 10 minutes away from us. So excited for us that we can now escape parenthood for a few hours and just be a couple in LOVE.
More to come...

Smarties and more....

Ok well Maiya just absolute likes smarties candies. Let's just say the other day I spotted her in the boys room looking under their chest where they had some candy hid,and sure enough she got a hold of her some smarties.Wish I had the camera at that time. We are now waiting on Maiya's birth certificate so I can go get her a social security card. Then the Citizenship application and I am so ready for this FINAL STEP!! We have been in this process since FEB of 2008,WOW oh WOW!But worth it all, priceless.

Maiya is quite becoming a little on the go girl. When Adyn has something she wants, she starts to raise her voice and then you see her neck stiffen and she is reaching and hoping to have her way. Now that will be a NO -NO- NO.:( I have been teaching her to say NO NO and to say baby. She is doing good. Mama and dada are popular and so is shewh... when she lets out number 2. She likes to still suck her thumb and play with your ears when she is tired.:( Hard on me,LOL. Likes to clap to patty cake and likes to feed her baby. Elmo and baby einstein she likes too. When we go to get Bailey off the bus,she smiles and points. She knows it is Bailey time, how sweet. She just eats and eats too. This sweetie loves blueberries, loves them. She could eat a whole container if I let her. The boys won't touch them, their favorite is watermelon.
We go at then end of November for some shots and her second dose of the flu shot.
Trying to figure out something to break this thumb deal. Maybe some tape around it,any ideas?
I am looking forward to my husband and I having a date for the first time together since we have been home with Maiya. Our pastors daughter will be coming over to take care of them here at the house. She is good with kids and babysits lots plus she just took care of Maiya last Sunday in the nursery.:) She only lives about 10 minutes from us which is good. Maybe I will rent something out of the red box for the boys.
Trying to work on fall cleaning for now along with regular family duties and Bailey is hopping along in bible quizzing, piano, and just made the Pride school academic team.YAY !!!
Adyn is doing great in preschool too and growing up so fast.
Hoping to have some family pictures of us all soon along with Maiya's Gotcha day movie. I am hoping to start weight watchers soon, for me.I have got to get more in shape,I might make a journal about it. With God's help I can do it. Bible study meetings are going great, the next one is Nov 16th. We are excited about what God has in store.
I am a busy bee,but loving every minute that God gives us!! Have a great week to you all.
GIGI :)

ADOPTION DAY IS HERE!!

Well Reela has legally changed to Maiya Reela-Gayle Fenwick!! We are now as her parents just as we are to the boys!! Another blessing in life has happened and we are so happy. Thank you Lord.
We actually had a hearing with us and the lawyers. It was so nice, and that it was only us in the room. The boys had a front row seat,Shane and I and Maiya got to set right by the lawyers,Richard and Maiya's gaurdian litam. First the judge talked to the boys and made them comfortable which I liked. She spoke to them and asked them about school and all. Then she handed them some gifts from her,A certificate to go eat and a YMCA free pass and then gave them each a sweet bird...Mr. Beek. She also gave Maiya a little beenie dog named "Spunkie",boy did that name fit this morning for her. She was ready to go today!! When we first got to the court house, she was walking all over the place, clapping and laughing! Everyone loved her pink and gold Indian outfit!! The pants where a little big,but it worked!!:)
We raised our right hand together and the questions came from both lawyers!! Informational type. When the judge finally made the statement after about 20 minutes,I could have cried, but I didn't just looking at her and Shane and hearing those words from the judge gave me great joy. Hearing her legal name...WOW. Finally,we can breather a little easier, and also a little sad that the adoption journey is over, but then again it is just the beginning of more great things to come for us all as the Fenwick Five. Next we took some pictures and that was it. As we left the lawyer said he would like a copy of one of the pictures with us and him,and then he pat me on the back and told us all to take care. I thought that was so sweet. It was sincere,I knew it. They said they don't get to do these kinda good things often enough. It was a blessing to all. Even the sheriff's were smiling.
Then we took some pictures outside the courthouse and headed to Country cupboard to eat.It was s uch a bright pretty day today!! Maiya konked out on the way home. This was a big day for us all. Shane had to go to work, but I am gonna stay up and wait for him tonight,I still can't believe it!! YIPPE!! Now we apply for her ss card and proof of citizenship!!

Thumb TIMES!

This picture taken in Kolkata just hours after she landed in our arms!!

Well this journal entry will be about Miss Maiya Reela and her THUMB!! She loves little thumb, especially at night, night or nap,nap time!!. She has been doing it ever since we had her in India,at first so sweet we would say. But now we are wanting little thumb to no longer be a part of her little mouth which is now home to some teeth. We don't want that little sweet thumb to make her beautiful teeth push out. SO that is the thumb story. As of last night, Shane said he was able to put her to bed as he just held her hand and rubbed her hand as he sang to her. So I tried that today at nap time, and just maybe this will work, and we can keep her from plugging her mouth with it during sleepy time! Maybe I can get her hooked on her little pokey dot blanket instead. We are up for the challenge!! LOL. When she goes to grab her thumb,we always say...you don't need it and we pull it away and she just laughs and smiles! These are the thumb days definate for us all,our boys never had a interest in a paci or thumb!
Maiya has also just volunteerly went to her mamie this week and then my dad got to hold her for the first time as he fed her ice cream!! Now her and Adyn are eating ice cream sandwich's and the bus alarm is going off as I type this!

On another note,Adyn starts 4 yr old preschool tomorrow and he is so excited. We celebrated his birthday over the weekend. Shane and I stayed up Friday night until almost 3 a.m. making our first Wilton Castle cake together! Pictures later!!:)

Bailey also has had a good first month of school and a special month for him was August,in which he came to us with wanting to be batized in JESUS NAME which was laid on his heart. We sat down and had a family lesson on the plan of salvation and what baptizing meant, and we told him whenever he was ready in his heart, for him to let us know, and he immediate said he was ready and understood, so he got baptized and he soon shall recieve the HOLY GHOST and we so cherished this night and I got a snapshot of it as Shane and I and the children were right there at the water with him. That moment we will all never forget.
This week... Shane will turn 32 and Adyn the big 5! Then off to Holiday World for the company outing. Maiya will even have her own shirt like all of us,hers just might be a dress though,LOL!! Off to get Bailey off the bus!! Have a great week to you all.

Legal Process beginning...

Well today offically marks the day when the process begins on "Reela" becoming Maiya Reela-Gayle Fenwick on paper. To us, she has always been a Fenwick, since she was born. God knew where she was coming too,...us! We feel so blessed each day more and more thru this beautiful gift that she is to all of us.)Shane and I,Maiya and Adyn went to meet with our attorney at 10:00 this morning.Bailey boy was in school.
All went well and it is so exciting to think we should have a court date in September or October hopefully!! We hope to have a little celebration for her and invite family and close friends. Now that she is doing so much better with her sweet socializing. After we met with the lawyer we handed over 500 bucks which God provided for us,thank you LORD! We were both telling Richard how we can't wait to get back to India, hopefully in about 6 years or when ever if the Lord wills!!
Then we headed to country cupboard to eat lunch. On a tooth note,Maiya is breaking in 2 molars,no wonder her nose has been running!! Stay tuned for more news,a very special email going out soon. HMMMMM what could it be? :)GOD IS GOOD!

#2 placement complete!!

Recent snap shots of our Maiya Reela from the City of JOY!

Maiya feeding baby Raina!

Sunshade time for summer!

Well today was our second post placement visit and all went so well only about 45 minutes!! She said to give her a week and the report will be done!! Our homestudy lady is so great! Our HS office then will right up the approval report and file all this stuff with the lawyers part and my expense list and then we wait for the BIG exciting court day!!We hope to get a court date in September by the end of the month! This would be great considering it is the month of Shane and Adyn's birthday!I trust in the Lord and the perfect day is waiting for our court date. We have a appt with the lawyer this Friday at 10:00 a.m.! We even recieved a blessing from someone which will pay for the first part of the lawyer fee 500.00 to get the process started. We are so grateful for this.:),we did not have the spare money with lots of expenses hitting at once. This was from the Lord whom provided and we are so thankful and we praise him! God knows what we need and when!

Maiya had her first sweet photo shoot yesterday and I cannot wait to view the proofs in a week or two. We will go and watch a slide show and TRY to narrow it down to a few shots. We decided to go with this photographer who has taken the boys pictures before, about 5 years ago. She does a wonderful job but a little pricy so we will definate have to narrow it down. We wanted to capture her in this sweet stage before she gets bigger. This is to celebrate her 15 month birthday which she had on Sunday,I cannot believe that on August 21st Sat,she will have been home 90 days!
Bailey has already gotten strep throat AGAIN,so tomorrow off to see the tonsil doctor and if he says and we feel like it will be best for him to get them out on FALL BREAK. I dread it for him to go thru it if he has too,but I trust in God to take care of him. So we will be praying for Bailey FIRST that God would heal him so that he doesn't have to go thru this.
Well off to put Maiya alseep. then off to the dentist....I have a question....Where is the beach when you need it?:)LOL

Knowing a little more now...

Well tonight we had a revival camp-meeting service here in town. And as Bro. Stoneking was preaching...he mentioned India and how they had a church already with 9,000 people and they are now building a church that holds 10,000 for this group of people. My mind started to race as I thought about how powerful and awesome that was! Shane, I know felt the same, didn't see his expression, but I didn't have too.
So we get home and I am talking to Shane and I told him that tomorrow night we should ask him what part of India that was? And Shane said well we will just google it tomorrow,so I then said,I can't sleep. So what did I do,got up and googled UPCI churches in India and BAM there it was, there is one in the beautiful CITY OF JOY KOLKATA! A Church but not that big one. This though is still great and better since it resides in Kolkata. Kolkata needs to hear the truth!!:) This is a small church but God can change that and it can grow bigger just like the other that holds 10,000 Shane has no idea and he is alseep now,I can't wait to tell him in the morning.
Neither of us had the slightest clue that there was a UPCI church where our daughter was in May of 2010. Only 15 minutes away from the airport,WOW OH WOW!!
I don't think it was meant at that time for us to go or know.
You see this is how God works. Now it is time!
While in India,we thought we didn't care if we ever went back, then a tinsy part said maybe, and well we WANT TO GO BACK if it be the Lord's will. It has changed from never, to maybe, to YES!
So with that being said,we are shocked at ourselves that we wanna go back as a family. The city of JOY is near to our hearts and so is this country. This is where our daughter was born, this is where God chose us to go for our sweet girl. We choose to find the JOY in the city, not the bad. There is good and bad everywhere,so I say pick the good out and think on these things, just as it says in Phillipians.
Yes the poverty is bad,but you just gotta look beyond that and God can show you beauty there, if you open your heart and mind just as with any place else.
I am so happy and just feeling blessed to have landed upon this tonight. Just another reason why just maybe our hearts have changed from never to... we hope to go again. If? When? How? Why?:) Don't have the slightest clue.:O)And if we never are suppose to go back then that is ok:) too.
We now know have one more thing to put on our prayer list and that is this church... and this could be all,and that is ok:)- cause prayers can be answered from thousands of miles away. Thank you God for showing us something just a little more of your world tonight!
GODBLESS you.

Last day of summer before school starts for Bailey!

I thought I would get this post in to day since this afternoon and the rest of this week and next week will be BUSY!!
Today is the last day of week day summer for Bailey boy. I am up early,it is 6:00 a.m. here and Shane just left for work and all is asleep,I did not sleep good at all last night.:(
Bailey starts the big fourth grade tomorrow and I cannot believe it! He has turned into such a wonderful good boy who is smart, funny, friendly and yes full of all boy energy. He loves to be a big brother to Adyn and Maiya. He is such a big helper around the house too. He likes to ride his dirtbike, play the piano, play nerf wars outside, and he likes to fish and is looking forward to Deer season this year.He sure loves his pepa,he is such tender hearted boy. He has many friends too.
He has a great teacher this year who is spirit filled which we are all thankful for. Her name is Mrs. Fackler. We are very close to his principal and her husband and daughter. They are like a second set of parents. God used them to show us truth and now we are blessed that he goes to her school. So she looks out for our kiddos!!
Well I need to get moving before the heat creeps up on me,it is suppose to be so HOT again today. Mama duties call once again, but a whole lot earlier this time!

Squeaking while she WALKS!!

Maiya is now walking so sweet! She has some little white WEE SQUEAK shoes which are adorable and so good for little ones learning to walk. You should check them out at www.comfykids.com or just google wee squeek shoes.
Sometimes she gets going so fast, she gets tickled. Sometimes she just drops and crawls when she wants to get somewhere super fast! She will be 15 months old next Sunday!
Hope to have some new pictures posted soon and some good adoption finalization news along with Mr. Bailey starting the big 4th grade and Adyn starting 4 yr old preschool and more...HAPPY RESTED SUNDAY!! Hoping for some NOC's this week!!

Love goes on,even when life doesn't

Today it has been 3 years since my sister Christy Lynn and her son left to go in peace until the Lord Jesus comes back! In fact about this time was the last I spoke to her 3 years ago,and last night would have been the last night I seen her and the kids at church together. I remembered how beautiful she looked that night,a smile like no other and when she said,I love yall, see yall later. Well, see yah way....later was right. What was preached that night and how God spoke to me in a dream months before,it was her time, and just as God told me in Isa. 57:1,he loved her so much and the baby,so he took them from what was to come. God knew I wouldn't understand,so that is where I find and know that my peace comes from, the Lord, and I hope to see her and Landon some day again.I wish I had a picture to post so you could see the light of God beaming from her and how beautiful she was. Her daughter Lexie is just a beautiful who I am so thankful is still here and just turned 7. Things have not been easy but God helps me day to day.:) And no,you never are suppose to get over it,that is why they say LOVE that is true will last forever, even if the person is gone. I am so thankful that I had her around for as long as I did, some lives are lived shorter. You never know when the day your living is your last, with that being said,LOVE GOD and LOVE you, and LOVE your family, even the ones who hurt you at times. May the Lord richly bless whoever reads this post in every way, and that their life is filled with God and family, a love that runs deeper then the ocean.Until I see her again,I just simply go on with LOVE... even if life ends. There is no other choice that is better then that.
God can turn sorrow into JOY! God turns mourning into dancing!

Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS...

Well let's just say after our revival service last night at church,I see this which is in Phil.Chapter 4 in a new way. The key here is ALWAYS,not sometimes, not when you feel like it,not just when things are good...but ALWAYS!!
Lately,I have been thinking how are we gonna come up with the money for the lawyer to finalize the adoption here soon? After the 21st of this month, our homestudy agency will write up their report from our second visit on the 17th,then we can file in the courts,YAY. But you gotta have the green stuff to do it!! We thought we were gonna have more time to save since we thought we had to wait 6 months, nut now we know it is only 3,and we need the funds slightly quicker. But this is so silly of me,WHY am I even concerned? I think the enemy wants to keep me worried and distracted so I cannot do what pleasess God. Seriously. God knows what we need, and he has always provided for us.
Last night at church our guest speaker at church was talking how he felt that someone or a family in the church was needing finances for something,so I am claiming it. I don't know if it was our need or not but I have no other choice, but to claim, believe, and wait.
I choose to REJOICE just for who God is,not what he can do for me,but just because of who he is. With REJOICE you can never go wrong.
Phil 4:19 says:
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
You should have heard the powerful healing testmonies last night,so beautiful.God does heal today,a tumor behind the eye, when you are brain dead and the doctor wants to unplug you,God still heals today. When the doctor tells you..either you or the baby will make it,there's a chance that you both won't make it. Then the mother and baby boy survived.GOD HEALS!

We are looking forward to going to the house of the Lord tonight and tomorrow too. I am going Rejoicing.I wanna get a copy of last nights CD!! I expect tonight to even be better. This week is a sad reminder of when my sister and nephew left this world on August 6th,3 yrs ago. But I choose to rejoice in the Hope, that she is in peace and I will see her again with the baby one day.:)Thankyou God for that precious HOPE.

Monday we got wonderful news,Maiya's lab work came back all normal, praise to the LORD. We are so grateful and thankful:)Maiya is starting to walk more too and get braver at church, she started to walk in the aisles on her own Sunday night.I finally got to send in that lab report to Dillon. Aug. 17th we have our second HS visit and I can't wait for Lisa to come over and see Maiya again and how she has blossomed.

Yesterday I finally made it to the consigment store to take some stuff down there that the kids can't wear anymore. It has been so HOT here, today it tops 101. We are staying in!!I am starting on fall cleaning out early. School starts around the corner the 11th,WOW so soon and camp-meeting that same week. BUSY time for MAMA. I am hoping this week or next week,I go to a sewing class, where I have made up my mind to learn to sew and make dresses and skirts,hopefully..I like it,we'll see.
We are all loooking forward to FAll of the year!! We hope to have some family pictures done in October for our fall family portrait. We like the feel of sweatshirt weather, with pumkins, roasted marshmellows, and the sound of crispy leaves falling.
Take Care and stay tuned for more news coming around of from the Fenwick Family of 5! I just might reveal what I believe is the start of something great soon.:)Blessings to you all :)

The dreadful lab day!

Well today is a day that I was dreading yet ready to get it over with! Maiya got her blood work done today and her x-ray done. Just typical normal checkup routine stuff.
I tackled it by myself with the boys big help. Bailey packed the loaded diaper bag equipped with even baby Raina, suckers, puffs, juice, the whole works. Adyn packed the folder with Maiya's paperwork. Shane called as we were on the way and I told him to say a little prayer for sweetie.
Maiya figured out before the nurse got the turnakit on what was going on. The nurse got it on the first stick thank goodness :) and Praise the Lord for that, and then had to fill up half way about 4-5 tubes! After it was over I quickly embraced my sweet brown sugar. Then she got a couple of tinkerbell stickers and a yummy orange sucker!! I was so upset seeing her go thru that lab stuff, but knowing it was to help her, helped just a tinsy bit.
Then off to x-ray and well she hated that as much as the bloodwork, but the tech did great and she quickly got a blue sucker for Maiya Reela. Then off to Subway we went, and we all needed that and Maiya ate a whole kid sandwhich. Glad that is done and gone!! Now she is sleeping in her king size bed,LOL.

Family Update!

I thought I would give you a update on the family and our newest little one...Maiya Reela-Gayle!
It has been hot,hot around here.:)I will start with Bailey first!! He is now been playing piano for about 5 weeks and he is doing great and is already playing songs. He got to go to church camp his first year and liked it. He is excited about Holiday World with Shane's company soon and he is excited that school starts back August 11th. He should be learning his first church song soon. He is getting to be a big boy and now he is at a slumber birthday party tonite,a friend of his from church. We are very picky about letting our kids spending time at other people's houses. This time I knew in my heart he could go and be ok.When I say ok,I know what he will be watching will be ok and the games he play will all be "E" games!! He will be 10 in December,oh know double digits!!LOL His hair even matters now! A great big brother he is too:)
I know I can't watch over him like a hawk, but we believe God wants us to lead our kids and like today's society, not let your kids lead you. Enough of my box.:)

Adyn is growing and gettin taller. He will be the big 5 in Sept! He starts 4 yr old preschool this year. I had a choice of either this or kindergarden and the Lord gave us peace with this. So this will be great for him,and kindergarden we will do next year, so he and Bailey will be at school one year together the same school. He is a great big brother and he is now singing so brave and good in the children's choir at church. Adyn and Bailey have had a blast playing out in the rain a few times this summer. He is looking forward to preschool!!

Maiya is growing and she has just blossomed into our family!!:) Some of her favorite things: She loves to brush her teeth!! She loves suckers!! She loves to sit and watch Bedtime with Elmo, she will watch the entire show. She loves for you to sing to her. She likes to bang on the piano and pull all the DVD's and Wii games off the shelf!!She now has really been trying to walk, the most steps she has taking so far is 21!! She just likes to crawl cause she knows she can get to her destination faster!!LOL. Her hair is getting so long and still has beautiful curls, and she has 4 top teeth and two on bottom. She eats everything in sight. There is nothing she don't like, but applesauce. She even goes to her little class nursery at church on Sunday mornings since the same ladies are in there, and I have the instinct in my heart that she is ok.:)She loves her daddy and big brothers and her dogs!!She will let some ladies hold her,but not long maybe 2 seconds. No men holds her, nope no way!! Not even pepa yet. Attachement and bonding is beautiful. There are many times we just sit and look at her and we are amazed all over again every moment with her. She sleeps with us and sleeps soundly all night. She does not like blankets over her. I guess because when it got so hot in the orphanage they didn't use them and so she is use to that.
She loves to laugh and is a happy baby. She loves her cute little cabbage patch Raina, that is name, pretty huh? A pretty Indian name we all like. She pretends to feed her with the little bottle!!
It feels like she has been home way longer then 2 months to me.We went to the doctor yesterday and she gained 2 pounds so now she is up to 18 and she is 29 inches long!! She got 3 shots and did super. Next is the lab work which I dread!! The nurse made up Maiya her own shot schedule and gave it to me,so she will be caught up by the time she is 2 1/2! Our pediatrican is great and so is our nurse!! After the doctor visit,we all went to country cupboard to eat!! Then we all needed a nap!!

School starts back on the 11th for us along with our church campmeeting. The 17th of August our second Homestudy visit with our sweet social worker then after the 21st of August we can file to finalize!! Then only 1 more visit for Dillon. Then we hope to get some family pictures made and some of her by herself and with the boys. I wanna wait until she is walking good so she can walk around outside barefoot in this dress and pose a little for her pictures. Then the company picnic rolls around along with Shane and Adyn's birthday!! BUSY as BEES!! I am in the middle of trying to get her Gotcha Day scrapbook made and trying to get where I got everything transferred so I can work on her movie.

Then God has laid something special on my heart to start up with Shane's support behind me,stay tuned for what God has in store if I feel led to make it known.:)

Thoughts on going back to India for now:

When we were in India,we thought that we did't really care if we went back or not later on to visit. As we have gotten home,we have realized that God has put our hearts there. If the Lord wills for us to go back then we are. For what you might say?,a family vacation,to bring Maiya home a sister,to help the needy and for the gospel,...really we just don't know. We trust when we go back,it will be right and as it gets closer to that time,God will let us know if it is something to do for him,or just a vacation,or to bring another sweet princess home from ISRC. So with that said,we are content and feel so blessed with our children and now it is time to just focus on God and our family of 5, and maybe one day India we will explore again,in a different way with all of our kids. So for now,India is staying near our hearts. The other night Shane at work said he was thinking about India and everything. The entire trip there, and was telling his friends at work that we wanna go back:) Then with the dream I had here recently of us in a village helping out families in need with supplies. So clear,it was hot and I could see the dirt and the huts and the people and what we were doing there. It could be a dream or it could be a vision of something that will come to pass, you never know. So why not take it with faith and just let God be God. If it happens, great we had faith of a mustard seed that this could mean something, and if it don't happen,it was still a beautiful thing and our hearts will always have India near.
If will be still and know that God is God he will speak to us if we desire to hear from him.

Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow, praise him in the morning, praise him in the noon time, praise him in the evening, all the day long!
Have a great week!!

First summer happenings!

Well the boys and I took Maiya to our friends home today for the first time swimming. My friend reminded me that today was June 15th!! I can't believe it has already been a month exactly since she was placed in our arms on her FIRST birthday, what a neat GOTCHA DAY she will have!! She is also now 13 months old. She has blossomed into her sweet personality too! I must say she loved swimming,(the boys agree with this too)! She is like a fish in the tub and she is the same swimming. The boys had a blast and Adyn was on his own and he was geared up to float! She looked so sweet in her pink swimsuit,my friend Tami took pictures of us...and well I am not posting them as to I am in them in my gold suit. This part of me is the private part,LOL. Hoping to post some soon of her in the baby pool that I have yet to purchase.

On a musical note,we were hoping to get the kids piano delivered to day but couldn't due to the stormy clouds and weather. We hope to get it to the house on Friday. Bailey starts lessons on Wed with this lady from our church. She has a special talent from the Lord and of course it is music. We hope the piano goes down the line for the children. Bailey is excited that he will be learning and we are all the same excited. Next he wants to learn the guitar! We love that he will have this piano to play for the Lord and for other things. Bailey is a fast learner and we hope the best for him and that he does great. He is also looking foward to church camp at then end of JUNE.

Adyn is enjoying himself with his little sister and big brother! He loves to sleep in and get his beauty rest and boss little CAMI around,:)

As for Shane and I, enjoying living for God and being in love along with parenting 3 sweet kiddos! We do still have ups and downs, but we try just to think about the ups and move on. Found out that we can finalize the adoption in 90 days which is good. Shane is back to work and well I have been working nonstop! I do get my breaks as Shane took all three to the store the other night, and I got my moment on my excercise bike.:)
More like this I picture...on the beach with the sun beaming on me as I drink a cold glass of ice water with my shades, as the plam trees whisper wind to my ears then I drift off for a nap and well WAKE UP TIME ... for real.:) Do you like this idea,I do too.

The dogs I guess are just being dogs, and we found out that Walle does NOT like stray kittens!LOL

Looking forward to a great dad's special weekend, trying to get my thoughts together for this!Have a blessed week and don't forget your time out!!

Maiya's milestones since being home...

Maiya smiling at April and her kids at the Hyatt.

Maiya is now tucked in our bed after her bath and is snoozing.:)

She is such a delight and so beautiful and such a happy smiley baby! She loves to laugh. She has discovered how to wave bye-bye. She learned this from her baby einstien movie. She says DA-DA all the time and has started to say MAMA more. She knows who Bailey and Adyn are and loves it when they play with her. She loves her daddy and loves to play patty-cake with him. When she lays down for bed she likes for you to sing to her. And she wants to hold your hand and rub while she sucks her thumb. She loves juice, strawberries and so much more. She is now gettin up and standing for several seconds on her own. She walks while holding on to stuff like her walker. When you play music she nods her head yes as her way of dancing! She is a good car seat rider now! She loves floor interactive play time so much. She likes to go for a stroll in her sroller around the block.
She loves our newest addition to the family,Cami. A little sweet yorkie.:)
Everyone just calls her a living doll. She does good at church too.
Her big brothers love her so much and are doing wonderful with her. We couldn't ask for anything more,we are truly blessed by her and our boys,a beautiful gift from God.
She feels our hearts and home with love and Joy!!
She now will turn her head to us when we say her name Maiya. It thrills me that she already knows her name. She has been doing this for a week/more already.
Well that's about it for now, goodnite.

India Journal continued...

Cracker Barrell time after Church

Bailey and Maiya

Now it is time to head to the Kolkata airport and head to Delhi!! We got to the airport a little too early but it was ok. We got lots of stares!!! The kind that where you think the person can see thru you,LOL. I guess they were just really curious. This day was very tiring. We flew kingfisher and Maiya did good, she slept! Then we got to Delhi and boy was it HOT!! So hot I felt like I couldn't breathe the air in!!

Then someone trys to take our luggage, but then the hotel driver from the Hyatt Suresh comes to our rescue!! We got to the Hyatt and checked in and ordered room service while Maiya slept!! Then we got to meet April and her family and their friends from India. We even got some pictures that Darin took. Then we got ready and headed to the medical!! Personally I wouldn't go back to the doctor we chose. Different people have different experiences. So you just don't know how it will go,it is different for everyone. The India culture just goes with the flow. That can be good and bad, either way.
But we finally got the 6 shots and left. In the end,the doctor was nice as he was leaving for the day. I guess they finally realized our patience was stronger then their act, so I guess they decided to end up being nice.

This was a emotional day for both of us and Maiya was constipated. The only sign of greiving that we have seen. But that is all cleared up now thank goodness.

This hotel is definate first class and we are not use to this kinda atmopshere. But we feel safe here at the Hyatt and it is handy. They are so friendly here, but that smile is cause they are wanting a TIP!! Maybe not everyone, but most all. People back home do stuff for you just to be nice from their heart, that is the difference.

In Delhi we have seen people who I am sure have more then enough and yet cannot break a smile! You see homeless sleeping on the sidewalks. Kids packing kids and begging from car to car. The people who are homeless look so content and just living life. Their are those who look so sad. Then you have the rich who don't even notice that homeless man on the side of the road. All this mixed in with someone riding a elephant down the street, traffic bumper to bumper, heat, and people hanging out from corner to corner. Life being lived in the middle of the city.

We bought a few things here at the Hyatt shopping area, some clothes and scarfs.
We just did not feel safe shopping down town at the markets.
The continental breakfast is nice here. Nicer then just cereal and donuts!
We have had lots of rest time here at the Hyatt which has been great. Tuesday we did nothing! Wed was visa day,we got in and our in no time about a 1 hour and 15 minutes tops!! Shane went back at 3 to pick it up and we had a nice lady that did our interview and all.

During this trip we have had so much peace and we are so thankful to the LORD! Can't wait to fly home!! Speaking of flying,we are so tired of flying,we don't care if we ever fly again.!!!!!!

Lastly I am gonna stop here for the trip blogging and leave you with this...
We are so so thankful for our daughter Maiya who was destined for us and to come from Kolkata to Kentucky. She is simply a joy, from the city of joy... Kolkata,India.
This journey has been such a blessing from Dillon staff to families and friends we have met and hope to meet one day. Lately... I find myself missing the orphanage, the nice Ayahs, and India. Maybe I am grieving the good in India that we saw for Maiya? Bizarre I know.
We are so blessed beyond words to now be the Fenwick Five! Stay tuned as I will be starting another chapter of our lives here. I am leaving you with some recent HOME SWEET HOME PICTUES!! Have a great summer!
Today is Bailey's last day of school!! YEHAW!!:)
Something just so neat,Maiya's birthmark on her hand...Shane noticed,it is in the shape of slightly fat KY! Something huh?:)

SUMMER TIME HERE WE COME!! blogger is being slow more pictures later

To India for Maiya continued...

Celebrating one week home!!

So after about 20 min we finally get a good enough visa picture for you and we even somehow collected some man's purple comb for a keepsake,LOL. We went back to the hotel where daddy changed you diaper and I made you a bottle. You went asleep and slept till about five in the afternoon. We watched you as you slept,we couldn't believe just how beautiful you were. You then woke up with some smiles and then you ate some mashed potatoes and you loved them. We liked our room service food too!! IT was GOOD!! Then more play time with toys and we watched our Bill Cosby dvd. You bonded to me and daddy and we were definate bonding to you. It felt like a miracle as we held our baby girl. Daddy gave you a name, brown sugar. And you loved brown sugar in your oatmeal. Then you fell asleep for the night and we did too. We woke up early just daddy and I as we were talking and having some hot tea while we wrote in your journal and waited for you to awaken your beautiful sweet eyes.

You woke up right on schedule at 5:45 a.m. with smiles. By this time you were already crawling, talking, and loving your toys! Then you had your baba to drink.
Finally it was bath time, and well our room had no hot water,so we upgraded to another room with a bigget tub!! We gave you your first bath with your little yellow ducky and you just loved it!! Today,we started to show your pictures of your big brothers. We all got ready and went downstairs for a great continental breakfast!
We took some pictures of the lovely gardens also. Then you were ready for your morning nap! The rest of the day we played, ate and slept. What a vacation!!
Next the journey from Kolkata to Delhi!! Stay tuned, off to put Maiya down for her nap.

We have so far been home one week and Maiya is doing so good. The bonding with all of us is great, and she has slept all night the past 4 nights! She loves strawberries and so much more. She loves her food for sure. She is sleeping with us for now! The boys do so good with her and she loves them. Maiya is always smiling and laughing. She has two top teeth and one on the bottom. She loves her thumb too!She crawls, and then pulls herself up and then stands for a few seconds without holding on,then she gets tickeled and falls in our arms. So she should be taking off anytime! We already took her for her well check up and had our first Homestudy visit. We will probally have to redo her shots,UGH.
Our case worker couldn't believe how good she is doing. Little brown sugar,(Maiya) we just love, and the spice which is the boys we adore. Sugar for the sweetness of her ,and for the boys spice, cause they know how to spice things up around here. Last night as it was storming and we were all piled up as a family in the boys room waiting for daddy to come home from work... Adyn says MAMA,WE ARE NOW A HEAVEN FAMILY!

We are so blessed beyond words and we are loving our life together as THE FENWICK FIVE! Have a great memorial day weekend to you all.

After 14 1/2 hours...we land in INDIA!!

Well we finally could breathe after being crunched up on a plane. I was actually relieved to smell the spicy, dusky, humid air of India.Just knowing we were in the same country as our daughter made us glad. We were already missing the boys. We met our driver at the airport from the Radisson which was about 4 miles from the airport. It was such a eye opener to ride in the nice a/c car as he zig zagged his way thru the traffic. We thought we were gonna wreck several times! It was so weird as they had to security check us and the vehicle for bombs, just not what we were used to in the bluegrass state of KY! We only stayed at the hotel long enough to take showers, rest what we could, and gather our thoughts. We ate some really good gourmet chocolates!! By this time, my sinuses were going wacko. My ears were also stopped up. I was always like HUH? WHAT?. So it was already early saturday morning and getting Maiya was just hours away. We laid there with our eyes closed but never slept. But we felt great,LOL.
So we flew to KOLKATA and we sure got some stares at this airport!:) Then we met our driver PJ who took us to the Kenilworth. He told us lots of India history. The people we met seem to be so content and then I saw the sign...Welcome to Kolkata ...THE CITY OF JOY!!. Traffic was bumper to bumper!! Even though we seen lots of poverty we seen lots of GOOD. Contentment. Beautiful people and color. Hard dedicated workers.
We finally got to the Kenilworth,we liked it here!! We were expecting for Anju to bring Maiya to us and then we get a suprise,we get to go to the orphanage.
So we go in two hours,we are so excited by now. Then we make a few calls and start to get it all ready. We are here on Purna Das Road, then we see the building walk up and we are greeted by some guards. We go to the office to talk with the director all about our princess and then she gave us this darling scrapbook.:) So we head to the room and there she is sitting all pretty in her dress in her crib.Hair fixed and all, a princess for sure, a true Indian princess.
As she seen us she looked at me then Shane and her eyes were big as flashlights. I walk over smiling from ear to ear and Shane is taping. I pick her up and start to whisper things to her and then she is listening and breaks a smile. It was like she knew who we were but a little scared cause she is thinking that her dreams of us are now real. Then she starts to cry and of course it was nap time. Then I look back and Shane is crying as he is watching us meet Maiya in reality, not just a dream anymore,a dream come true!!
Then she lays eyes on her daddy and Shane comes to meet her. I recall a dream that I had a while back about her special GOTCHA DAY and it happened just like I dreamed. WOW! Thanks be to the LORD! We got to see the other babies as well. So it was finally time to say goodbye and so we did. Bittersweet. Off for the visa picture and more to come after she awakes from her peaceful nap at the hotel...

Journal Entry #1- To India for Maiya

As we were standing in the Nashville airport,it was time to say our c-ya later's and hug the boys, pepa and mammie goodbye. It literally tore us up. I just wanted to go ahead thru security and get it over with. Bailey had a hard time, we all were just crying. We did our final wave and smiles and turned away to go thru security glancing as far as we could until we disappeared from their sight. We sure hated to leave but it was a sacrifice we knew we had to make. I just kept thinking..just a week Gidget, just a week. Maiya will be with us the next time we meet again.
By the time we got thru all checks, and settled down for a bite at Wendy's and called to check on the boys, all was smoothed out. My stomach sure wasn't smooth,we both could barely eat.

A blessing so far is what this trip has become to be. We are now at the Newark airport waiting for our straight thru flight to Delhi,India. Shane and I have done good thus far considering it is our first time to fly! We started out in Nashville Tenn and flew Continental. We did not get to sit by another,Shane was in front of me and we both had good views, the window seat.LOL
The flight was not what I expected,it was very cowded. Shane sat by a man going to India and I was sitting by a lady by the name of Ashwini. This lady had a smile and we had a connection. She was so sweet and we talked the entire flight for almost two hours.:) She was headed to Boston to see her son graduate. Then I told her where we were headed. She then tells me where she was from and all about her entire family including her sweet dog ZIM! Come to find out she moved to America 25 years ago and was from India. She told me about some things that happened in the beginning of her life. Some things that she said to me will stick with me forever. She told us to have no fear and that this was a adventure and that things like this is what makes this planet a better place. These things overide all evil in this world. So by about this time I am thinking maybe I should ask her for her number. Well I just kinda ignored that thought cause I thought she might think I am crazy. So then I find out she knows people in Hopkinsville just 40 minutes from us and then that she is from close by too. Then I got to share Maiya's recent picture with her and then she helped us to get where we needed to go. She kept saying that Maiya is gonna bring nothing but JOY and do so great and catch right on. I have to say,she was right!
Then it hit,she asked me for our number and email,so we swapped info and plan to get in touch soon. She hugged us both and was crying, then we departed. I feel this connection was lead by God and that it was meant for me to sit by her. Hopefully we talk in a week or so. Until the next entry of a flight to India....

Computer conclusion...

Well today I have been super busy and looking forward to a checkoff day tomorrow and relaxation before we leave!!
I might post from the rental computers if I have time! I wanted to blog but our trip is tight at first and I don't feel like I will have time or have the energy probally. I am just gonna take a journal for notes and do a journal when I find time after we return home!! We just have too much stuff to take(like a big box), and a laptop to pack around is one less thing we don't need!! Unless something changes my mind! Plus my computer has been acting up!!
I might give some of you a ring while we are there,so come on give me some credit, right,LOL!
Hope more referrals come thru while we are gone! Remember us in your prayers,we will need them as we will be experiencing lots of firsts!! God has us in his hands,I will find my rest in that.
I gotta shake this anxiousness off of me,but it is so hard. I have no clue why I am feeling like this. Audios Amigos!
Take Care, Love-US!!

What a Day!!1

Well today has been EXHAUSTING!!! It starts with Shane waking me up at 3 a.m. to tell me he couldn't sleep and that the embassy has not emailed yet!! So I wake up and call the embassy and well after hearing we will send you a email shortly to get u in on the 19th...well that turned into never hearing anything. So needless to say our agent changed the flights a little in the middle to accomodate more days in Delhi and well little did he know that they sky rocketed the price!! He couldn't believe it! Finally we lost those flights and still no embassy. By this time I was crying totally nerve shocked!! Then we knew there was no way we could leave WED,then we tried to leave Friday, still didn't work! So we tried right in the middle with leaving Thursday and BOOM we hit the mark!! Shane and I felt peace,Tami our social worker was such a help to me along with friends support and prayers! You know who you are and thanks so much! To me,this was the most stressful part of the entire adoption process!! Any seconds on that? LOL,but seriously.
After this day,Shane and I look back and we now know for some reason we were suppose to leave on Thursday at 11:59 from Nashville Airport!!:) It is a little hectic at first but it all lays out perfect. Still no word from the embassy, but that will fall into place tonight, and we are hoping to get in on the 19th.!! We get our sweet girl on her birthday the day we land in Kolkata!! Don't know if I am taking the computer as I would like to leave it for my boys and rent one,but I don't know for sure. We got some donations to pack and we wanna be as light on our feet as possible!! Stayed tuned for the Fenwick trip to INDIA!! GOODNIGHT! May the Lord be with us every step and be with our boys! The Lord will never leave thee, nor forsake thee!

Submitting again...

Well I just checked the email before bed time and they have already submitted Maiya's passport application again. So this is good and things are rolling. I just hope their definition of expediting them is my definiton,:) seriously!
The person who is head over the office said they are gonna expedite them!! So we hope to hear soon,we will get another update either Friday night or saturday morning!! So again stay tuned for the "P" story update.
This stuff really actually makes you wanna pee your pants anyway,LOL. One minute my nerves are calm and collected then they stir up again! Such a roller coaster ride, you don't know when this stuff will get your stomach, expect when you experience a DROP like this. BUT...after all that being said,My Lord Jesus loves us and Maiya so much and he will make all things in the right time for us, her, and the sweet boys! Bailey was just talking tonight after church how he can't wait to bring Maiya home so they can play in the water sprinkler ball this summer together! Adyn was showing off her pictures tonight at church and so was the mommy!:) I wanna be celebrating this mother's day for a passport approved!! What do yah think?

What HAPPENED? THE "P" Story!!

Well...I have decided to make known the truth!! The truth of why we are still waiting for the big passport! I am ok,not upset,... at Peace but still a little anxious!
So we have been waiting the longest for this last little book! Can u believe it,but we are so thankful that it is getting worked on! Now I give you the SCOOP,the low-down,LOL. So as we think we are waiting on passort, this past week this is the news we get,...In Process, were behind,UH we can't find the application? Yap,you are right that big hustle and bustle passport office lost Maiya's application! Well this is not uncommon, I hear and the orphanage director is on top of things. Last we heard they were hunting for it at the passport office! I wonder if they need me to come help, just kidding!! So if they have to resubmit, I think they are gonna put a rush on things and we should get the approval in 2-3 days, but if they found it,we are hoping they get them done immediately! So we don't know now if they found it or if the orphanage had to resubmit! Hopefully we get a update by the weekend. All I know is that there is a reason why we have this hold up,even though I don't understand,I am trusting and holding on to SOON and very SOON! God knows the perfect time.
When we got the news,I started to cry and I looked over at Shane and he's just sitting there, staring at me! He was holding for me I know, he is so patient. Then on a funny note,he was outside working on his wipers for his car,and he got agitated and slung them down and said well it just ALL FELL APART!! I looked at him and laughed and said,OOH, do u have a little passport aggravation going on?:) LOL
I have even started to prepare my mind that we will probally not be there on her birthday, unless we get a awesome update tomorrow. We will celebrate it when she comes home as a family of five! I bought her plates and napkins today,so cute and only a dollar each. They have daises and butterflys on them! Her birthday dress and bib is waiting for her in her closet. And I picked her up a sweet mermaid 12 month gown today,so sweet!!
So stay tuned for PASSPORT HEADLINE NEWS,I feel like I have been writing about the "P" word for a really long time!!

May

It is the beginning of May and this morning I realized that quite a few emotions are already hitting me. I went out to the cemetary where my mom, sister and nephew are buried, just to see if there were any summer flowers out and to kinda see if anything needed cleaning up. As I was there, sorrow flooded my soul as I cleaned out some weeds and things that needed to be removed. This is the month that my mom passed away 7 years ago and of my sisters birthday. Then I headed to my friend Tammy's house who is a close family friend of my dad and all of us. She just had her baby last week and he is so sweet, and her birthday is the same day as Maiya's May 15th. I had to pick up a couple dresses that her mom brought for Maiya. Those little sun dresses brought a smile and joy to me this morning. That's right May has been such a sorrowful month for all of us,...but now God has turned that into JOY and Maiya's birthday is in May.While we were on the wait list,I always hoped Maiya's birthday would be in May the month of my sisters, and well I never told anyone, and well that's the way it happened. I think it is so great how God works wonders in the smallest of details!
And then I started to think that mother's day is this week and how I miss my mom,how Lexie will be missing Christy. How I am blessed to be able to be with my boys, and then again that little Maiya is waiting for me. I wonder what Maiya's birthmom is feeling, who knows they may not even acknowledge that in India, but that doesn't matter,I acknowledge Maiya's birthmom in my heart.
I was hoping to get Maiya on her birthday, but now I don't know. We hope to hear good news tomorrow morning.
Adyn got his little table and chairs put together this morning,so cute. There are four little chairs just for Bailey,Adyn,Maiya and my neice Lexie! They should have some awesome tea parties! Shane and I have decided that during this passport wait,we shall take it out on the yard and get the landscaping project moving! It is moving alright,we started trimming and pulling up stuff this morning.
Off to my daily motherly duties...stay tuned for news.

Behind and still holding up!

Well we got a update, not very exciting I must add. So now the passport office is behind, first in process, now behind. SO which is it? Who knows? All we know is that they are gonna try and push them thru on Wed. So maybe we hear news. I was hoping we would get her passport this week so we could make plans to leave on May 12th,Wed. and pick her up on her birthday.

So we wait for the update and see what happens on Wed. We would like to ask for your prayers for this situation. I am just being honest. To say that I am not concerned would be a lie! I know it will happen and I am trusting when I can't see,but I still have human nature concern for my baby being still there and waiting.
It is HOT there, our babies have been there long enough and they need to come home.

As I was cleaning this morning,I noticed my son Adyn's sunday school lesson paper lying on the floor. And I started to read over it,it is no mistake that I found it! I do feel like I am in prison with this passport wait, just as Paul and Silas were locked up. Even though we got this bad news this morning,I will praise the Lord no matter what and look for these passport waiting chains to fall off soon! I was reminded this morning with this,
When my heart is overwhemled:lead me to the rock that is higher then I" Psalm 61:2 Praising will lead this situation to victory, just as it lead Paul and Silas to victory when the Angel appeared and loosed the chains and they were free!
We will be free to go get our baby soon.:)Thank you JESUS for helping me when I am so overwhelmed!

On your MARK,GET SET,Hold it....

Well the passport office has told the orphanage staff that our daughter's passport is in process and to give them a couple days...so they are going back to check then. We are hoping it is approved and then it will be on the way to the orphanage. If the orphanage gets the passport Monday or Tuesday, then we hope to book and leave Friday. I don't know where we will be flying out of just yet,I have my tenative schedules made and ready to go. We would like to leave Wed,but it will be pushing it too much I believe...unless when they go back and they get news on Friday that it's approved and already been mailed! So we wait and see,I am not getting my hopes up too much. I still feel at peace and know it's coming! When everything is all set and right we will be on the way! God's plan is perfect. If we leave next Friday the 7th we will get back home early Saturday morning on her 1st birthday, what a celebration.
I feel like I am standing at the mark to take off to race, but we just are waiting for the "GO" flag to wave!!:)
All I need to do really need to do is purchase a couple things and get the finances ready, and recheck luggage and paperwork. I am really glad I am not gonna have lots on my plate since I started planning early. I am sure if we leave next Friday, these last few days will fly by.I am of course so hoping that Friday or saturday that I can post her passport is approved, but on the other end,I am prepared either way.My emotions are moving and I don't look forward to leaving the boys, but we have been praying and believe that God will have all of us in his hands and watching over us.
I am not in control and I have been learning this lesson quite often and to trust when I can't see,FAITH!

GOOD REPORT,Trail ,Taggie, and still waiting on the PASSPORT!:)

The sweet Taggie!

After waiting to see the doctor for over a hour....we finally get to see the tonsil doctor and he told me just to keep a watch on Bailey and that right now he does not need tonsils out. Bailey's tonsil infection is gone and just thinks that it was viral and that is why the antibiotics did not work! And I have been checking on Bailey and his snoring has been better So praise the LORD and thanks to all who have been praying for this.
After the appt we went and walked at our new nature wellness trail by the clinic,it was so nice that the boys and I have decided that we should walk it every day after school this week! It has some bridges and a little pond with some neat excercises thru out the trail. It even has some picnic tables in case you get a appetite! I will get some pictures of it this week to show yah. We saw a couple of pretty red cardinal birds too. Needless to say it relieves this passport wait stress,LOL. Seriously.
Maiya got her sweet little India taggie blanket today from Julie. It is so sweet. It even has a heart over Kolkata! Be sure and check on Julie's site where she makes things to raise money for their adoption to Ethiopia!! She also makes kids clothes. www.flitterbugs.blogspot.com
Hoping passport comes this week, until more news...stay tuned.
