The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Feeling a little down.....

I don't know why,but today I am feeling down about this whole referral thing. We were hoping to bring Maiya home this fall or atleast by Christmas...now I am thinking could it be next year?:( Maybe because we are headed into waiting the one year mark for referral. It will be a year on June 13. I wonder if we will be waiting pass this date? If so,there is a reason for it. Even though I am feeling this way and I cannot see the whole adoption story,God does and I still trust in God to lead us directly to our daughter. So for now still waiting, loving our life together and praying for our daughter and this roller coaster ride. I am so thankful that the all at the orphanage is well after the storm. I am also glad that Colleen and her family are safe.

I wonder if my Maiya is in the newborn room. I seen a glance of a families picture of the newborn room with the new a/c that was put in. All I could do was think,is one of these my girl? Has she just been brought into the orphanage? I guess for now I need to just let go and let God bring my daughter to me.....any positive thoughts,I need them this evening.... Thanks for your support and prayers for us,they are priceless.

The way wherein I should walk....Psalm 143:8

I would like to share with you a testmiony of the Lord's work from this past week. It is a powerful work of the Lord. Sometimes in life we get busy, but if only we could slow down and say "Lord, show me the way wherein I should walk today."
Tuesday evening I was lying in bed reading thru my bible. I come across a verse that grabbed my attention. It was James 1:27. It says that Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this,To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. I told Shane about this and read him the verse and I thought how many times do we forget these people and their loneliness? God is telling us what he classifys as pure religon. I believe that this is saying religon is not a denomination or belonging to a organization.
So Wed morning I woke up and did my regular morning duties and Adyn and I headed out the door to the car. After we got in the car and got things together,I finally started the car. And as I set there I thought that I needed to talk to God before I leave this driveway, this is something that I had never done before. I asked the Lord to order my footsteps today and let me do something, say something, help someone, put someone in my path. Something to show God glory. Even just to make a difference somehow and someway in a person's life an so on. So off we went. God,me and my son Adyn. I didn't stop to think that God was actually with me and my son.
We then went to get my grandmother and we decided to go to lunch at Dairy Queen instead of Mcdonald's. Adyn was very persistant on Mcdonald's. Grandmother and I thought DQ. So we set down to eat. As we were eating a little elderly lady set down across from us with her sandwich and shake. I noticed her praying for her food. Adyn then went to get granmother a napkin. I told Adyn to go get the lady a napkin also. he did it,but she didn't notice. Adyn went and took her another napkin. Then she noticed. Her and Adyn exchanged words and smiles. She then asked my son to sit with her.She told Adyn that she didn't have anyone to eat with. So he did. This is not like my son, especially to a woman he has never seen. Then I took some pictures out of my wallet to show her. She asked where we lived and what church we went to. She kept saying how she just loved Adyn and how he was so intelligent. So more talking and smiling and so on. I just sit there thinking to myself that there was just something special about this lady. I could not put my finger on it. So as we got up to leave,so did she. She said how that if she would have went thru drive thru she would have never met us. We hugged and Adyn hugged her. She then said where about do u live so we might see one another again? I told her where we lived. Then as we were walking out the door. She said if I never see u again,I will always think of you. Right then something hit me. I asked where do u live? Of course she told me and I asked if we could come visit sometime? She said that would be so great. So I took her hand and we walked one another out. I noticed what she was driving. I still could not put my finger on why she was so special. I knew it was something because my soul was bubbling with happiness on this inside. She was special,we felt like we had known her. She told us God Bless you and that how she had already had a wonderful day meeting us. Then we parted. As we were getting in the car, grandmother said I knew that lady. She never had any children or grandchildren. I said is she probally a widow? My grandmother said well I imagine. I then took my grandmother home still thinking. As we were driving home, the Lord spoke into my soul and said, don't you remember what u asked for in the driveway? It was like a light bulb that came on in my heart. So Adyn and I decided that we were gonna go on a regular basis to see this woman. As we were out driving yesterday,Adyn and I went by the address that she gave us,and there set her car. We are planning to make a visit with her soon. I bet your wondering what her name is,well guesswhat,I have not a clue. We will soon find out and see what the Lord has in store.
In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path, Proverbs 3:6. Thank you God for leading us to someone special and for showing me where to walk when I couldn't even see and thanks for answering my prayer. I am also reminded that where I go,God will go with me and direct my path when I acknowledge him. Then instead of an I,with God it becomes a we. The following night we went to bible study and our lesson was exactly what we experienced on Wed. God always confirms his word...Praise the Lord. Where will you walk today, and what does God want you to go and do?

Five Thousand......

Well here I go again dreaming away.....again. I am thankful. Every since we have started this adoption God has been in this plan. We pray everyday for God to lead us down the path to our adoption miracle. We have also been praying for different things. One of them is for our finances to be provided and worked out and for the paperwork to go smooth and of course Maiya, the call and so on. When I say provided that is what we mean but it can come from different sources we all know. It can come from the bank, fundraisers,as a gift from family, selling items to raise money and etc. We believe the funds will be available when we need them no matter where it is they come from.
So let me get to the could be part.... I have had dreams of our referral call,my Maiya smiling,us going to the orphanage to get her and more. I have never had a dream about finances for our adoption. Well last night I did have a dream. I woke up this morning and started to get things ready when I suddenly remembered what I dreamed last night. I dreamed that someone in our family ( the person is between God,me and them) called and told me that they felt that the Lord was dealing with them on helping us with finances for this adoption. They were asking about the amount that we would need for referral? I told them ABOUT FIVE THOUSAND is what we will have to send in when we send in our referral acceptance packet. So they said well we will be sending it. We were so happy, grateful and thankful the Lord provided this for us.
So here I am typing this up. Now I am typing this up in our adoption story because it is a part of it. If the Lord was telling me this and that this is in the making then it will come to pass. Psalm 3:6 is what I chose and what the Lord put in my heart for this journey: In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. The Lord is directing every part of this adoption journey, down to the CALL and every little detail. Little details make a BIG difference.
As I was cooking breakfast this morning I thought how can someone call us and just give FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS? (the enemy was trying to get me to doubt), and the Lord spoke to me and said what about the five thousand that I fed. If you go to Matthew 14:13-21 this is the story where Jesus took 5 loaves and 2 fishes and fed ABOUT FIVE THOUSAND men. With God all things are possible. Every good thing comes from God is what the word says.
Finally,in closing I believe that God can do anything. The Lord has already done some wonderful things in our lives in just the past couple of weeks. If it is in the plan for this to happen in our adoption journey,it will. I am thanking God for this and claiming it today. The Lord knows what we need to bring home our daughter, he knew Maiya while she was in her mother's womb. I trust that he will show us the way and I thank the Lord for being at number 2. If we go all the way to ONE or if we get called at 2,it will be the path to Maiya. HAPPY DAY!!!!:)

Updates and Dreaming again....

Well yesterday marked 11 months waiting for the referral of our daughter Maiya and the expiration of our Home Study. We are in the process of trying to get our education classes completed. The next step is our referral call of our daughter which we have no control over. This is what we are waiting on now.
In the meantime I am thinking ahead. After this we will then sign our name like 400 or so times and send in the acceptance packet. While this is going on we will be getting our home study updated. When all paperwork is updated when then file for NOC. We have got our medicals updated, our friends have our reference letters ready and the bank is prepared that we will call when we need a update. I think we will have to update our background checks also. I am gonna try to call and get the forms sent to us today so we can go ahead and get them started. Hopefully all will go well and be easy flow for the updates. Can you tell that I am trying to prepare for the call?:) I don't want to have lots to do when we do get the wonderful call. Please keep our Maiya and the CAll in your prayers. We have been praying for clarity and peace so we will know it is Maiya. We are believing for a miracle referral. We are praying that Maiya will be a healthy, happy and beautiful baby that will bring joy all around. The bible says to Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and he will give you the desires of your heart. This is what we are standing on!! I am so happy for all the babies that are being picked up this month:).Wishing safe and happy travels to Amy, Colleen, and Sara.

DREAMING AGAIN.....

Oh and I gotta jot this dream down that I had on this past Tuesday night. I dreamed that Shane and I were standing in the orphanage looking for Maiya and we found her and we walked over to her crib and Shane told me to go ahead first. So as he stood there smiling,I could see tears rolling down my face as my arm slowly reaches in her crib and grab her hand. I picked her up and held her so tight. She knew I was her mommy. What I was feeling in my heart was a miracle just beginning. She was smiling so beautiful. In every dream that I have had about my daughter she has been smiling. This tells me that she will be a happy photogenic baby. You may not understand why I always have to keep a record of these dreams, but this is special to me and you will understand later. I cannot miss a dream. I feel that the Lord is showing me things. Maggie,I know you understand why:).

As far as the boys,Adyn completed three yr old preschool yesterday. Friday is his Carnival Day for his class,he is excited, that reminds me I gotta get chips for his class. His teachers have been wonderful. He says all the time that he loves his teachers. Just maybe kindgarden next year will be good and he will like it and not cling and scream every morning:)!
Bailey has a exciting summer planned. A week in June he will be going to church camp with his friend Calob. July he has a fun filled week of kicking in soccer camp. He has only eleven days in second grade left. Bailey is getting so tall. The boys are growing like weeds!!
We are hoping to take some little trips as a family and have fun with the boys, maybe the zoo, amusement parks, fishing and just more simple things. I am looking forward to this summer with my 3 muskateers,Shane and the boys. This will be the last summer without Maiya. Next year she will be going on vacation with us!! I can't wait. My aunt and uncle Betty and Johnny came over last night and she just loved Maiya's room....glad we got that done!! We just lack some crown molding. Well I think that is about it for updates all around. Oh I almost forgot,we planted our first garden this year. Now if I could just keep the boys out of the mud....Have a great day...until more news, Gidget:)

Moving up to ? for Mother's Day...

Well I woke up from my nap with some good Mother's day weekend news afterall. We are now sitting at the lovely number 2 on the waiting list. Don't you just love my little smile!! My computer was slow as a poke,it took me about an hour to get it figured out. I had to call our internet provider so someone could walk me thru it. Could you imagine my face looking at a email that said Inbox-Tami-movement. I was looking at that for a hour :( not being able to open it. I didn't know if we had moved up or back. Yikes!
I am thankful we moved up. My husband just called from work and I got to share it with him. I could see him smiling underground at work. He has such a sweet smile. Have a good weekend. Until more news.... Oh and thanks computer tech man!!:)Gidg

The Lord still works miracles today:)

This morning my son and I got to witness a miracle from God. My grandmother is 83 years old and I did not ever think that I would see this coming. She has always been not so nice and she was totally against the adoption, and the list goes on. I have been praying for her for 5 years and honestly I almost gave up.
Well the Lord spoke to her this morning in a dream after she read her bible. She was reading Matthew 7:13 and so on thru this chapter it talks about the wide path that leads to destruction and then about the narrow path that leads to life. She called me to come and pray and talk with her,so I got ready, and Adyn and I went. She poured her heart out to the Lord in all humility like a child. This afternoon she is getting baptized in the name of Jesus and she will get the Holy Ghost. She is filled with joy and she is now happy about the adoption of our daughter Maiya. Her heart is filled with the Love of God. She also looked at me and smiled and said "We will be getting Maiya soon". Wow I am in awe right now. This is truly a miracle in my family. I am exicted to see what God is gonna do next. So would you rejoice with me:) Oh happy day, when Jesus washed all my sins away....:) Gidget

Adoption Update....

I thought I would clue you all in on the most recent update from my caseworker.

First,in the middle of May a new judge is coming in to handle the international adoption cases. It is normal in India for a new judge to come in every 18 months! So there could be some possible delays until he gets the hang of things . :( It effects those who have referrals and us who are still playing the waiting game. Let's just hope that this judge is a quick learner. I believe he will do GREAT!!:)Who knows things could go faster. As far as referral wait, they say to expect to wait a year from dossier submission or longer for a girl. We submitted last June 13 of 2008. So the earliest that I am expecting is June 13 or even later in the summer,I cringe to think later:( but I will make it,God is good and he is working the perfect plan. Shane has some vacation time and we are saving it hoping we will travel this year, but for now it is still a mystery miracle in the making. No matter what negative news that comes I am thinking.... POSITIVE!

Some good news is that Dillon has been able to help ISRC to get some air conditioners!! So this is so great!! Now the babies and workers will be able to get cooled off. It's funny cause last week I was talking to my husband and I said "You never know,ISRC could get some air conditioners soon, and that would be nice". So what do yah know, they are getting them. Praise the Lord for cooling off those sweet ladies and sweet pea babies!!

Some more great news is that my dad is coming home from the hospital today!! I am so glad. Now if we can just get him to stay rested so he can heal. Well off to the ladies dinner,Have a great weekend to u all.
