Updates around the house...

Well tonight I have to say that I am looking forward to Spring coming. I went to a small country store today looking for a spring flag for my yard. I always have enjoyed spring time of the year. Shane and the boys also like spring time. I didn't find a flag. When I think of spring,I think of color, flowers, being outside with my family, flying kites and more.I like setting in my swing and playing with the boys outside. What a great season that we have to enjoy. The first day of spring is March 21. I also look forward to Easter and celebrating the resurrection. My birthday is March 18, I will be 31. I cannot believe I will be 31,YIKES! So March could be a wonderful month. My husband and the boys are doing great. We are hoping that Shane will get a shift change soon. The boys are growing more each day. Adyn already knows his colors. Bailey is doing great in school. And of course,BOYS will be BOYS!

On the adoption news,we are still at number 4. There are a couple of families on hold in front of us also. We are hoping that our little Maiya will be in the spring batch! In March the celebration of Holi takes place in India,March 11. I think this is where they celebrate spring. Just as flowers will be springing up maybe our referral will be!!! At any day our immigration approval will be coming thru the mail then I will email the copy to Tami. I am awaiting for when Tami will be calling,I wonder if it will be like my dreams?

On the spiritual side... I was talking to my dad tonight on the phone and he was telling me that at his work people were talking about the bailout plan for our country. He was telling me how at church tonight they were preaching on this, and he said that there was only gonna be one true bailout plan in the end and that is when Jesus Comes! So thank goodness that we do not have to depend on the bailouts of this world.

Well Adyn just fell asleep on the recliner so I am off to pack him to bed.I think Bailey has already konked out too! I am looking forward to bible study tomorrow.I hope you all have a good nights rest. I have posted this spring waterfall picture from my computer it is one of my favorites!

Devotion for Today:

Sometimes in the midst of our lives it is easy to get down on ourselves, situations and etc. Curve balls do come in our lives. I am sure you all can relate to this.I know that I can relate. This is when we need to think of things that move us forward in our relation with God and act upon these. Catch that curve ball and throw it back with the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. When we think on the good things the lord will give us peace as it says in his word. God will give you what you need to climb that mountain, whatever the mountain may be.

Devotion for the day:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philipians 4:8.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and recieved, and heard, and seen in me,do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philipians 4:9

Philippians 4:13-
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians: 4:19- But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Have a great evening,Gidget

Being United....

Good morning to all of my friends. First I hope today that you are having a great day in the Lord. Rejoice and be glad for this is the day that the Lord has made.
First of all it is so great about babies that are being united with their families this week. What a joy this brings here on earth and in the eternity of God. I believe that when a orphan is handed over to a family, that God looks down and smiles. I compare this in a spiritual way: When a person deicides to leave the sin that they were born in and then they unite themselves with God. The key here is UNITE. (Unity) You see when a person is in sin they are not in unity, but when they make up their mind to move toward the Lord then that is when unity and the adoption takes place spiritually. To me that is amazing.
So as these children are being united with their families forever, nothing can break the bond or the love. The family then offers all that they are and have to this child, who was always their own but they did not know. The family leads their child.I believe that is how the plan also works when we leave the worlds way and go God's way. The lord leads his children and offers it all to us. So unity is both happening here and in the heavens. What a blessing to be UNITED.
The word tells how the Lord will lead his own: ISAIAH 42:16, And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known:I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

Thru the words of a child.....

Well Valentines of 2009 has come and gone. I didn't get anything fancy, nor did I go out of town. We all went to applebees's to eat as a family and just be together. My oldest son Bailey did not feel well.
As I think about the weekend,I am reminded of something special that happened over the weekend. Adyn,my little one on Friday started telling me,"Mamma I love you."He has been saying this numerous times to me,Shane, and Bailey. He will just look at me and smile and say "I love you." When he says this I just feel so happy and loved! What a great feeling this is.
Truth of the matter is that we all want to be happy and loved. The good news is that we are all loved and special to someone. It amazes me how the lord loved me enough to die for me so that I could have the opportunity for a eternal life with him one day. Adyn told me so many times this week that he loved me. How many times does the lord speak of his love in his word? The first commandment is to love God with all your heart mind and soul, and the second is equal as the first and that is to love thy neighbor as thyself. The bible says when you have these, the rest will follow. So look how strong love is. I actually believe that Adyn knows and feels what love is. He is only 3.
My mind is taking me to how awesome it will be to show our daughter love and to teach her about God's love for her. Isn't is great how God's love is leading us to Maiya and Maiya to us. In this adoption journey love is being shown to others and I am glad that our boys are experiencing the love. I believe this will make a impact on their lives.
The word tells us in `John 13:34-35," A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another;as I have loved you, that you also love one another." "By this all will know that you are My disciples,if you have love for one another." Jude 21: keep yourselves in the love of God,looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. I am so thankful for the love that God shows us and how love shines thru the words and smiles of a child.

One year ago today we started the exciting journey to our daughter from India. We have also been waiting 8 months for our referral. We started at number 16 on the list on June the 13th of 2008,now we are sitting at number 5! I know we probally still have a while to wait, but that is ok. I emailed Tami a couple of questions and she asked how I was doing and that eventually there will be movement. So until movement I don't really have anything on the adoption front to post. Our immigration is on the way soon and that is good to know. I wonder at times when will it be the month that we get the call about our precious Maiya?

I am looking forward to spring time with my husband and boys. I just love being outside planting flowers, going to the park and etc. Spring is coming!! YAY!

On the financial front, things are looking like, Ok, where is this money gonna come from? A little nervous, but I am trusting God to show us the way that we need to go. Maiya has got to come home! It looks like travel will be costing more then we thought! All I know is that just when you think this is impossible to do,I am reminded that with God all things are possible! So I hold to this. Blessings,Gidget

Laughter at our house...

Ok, so I am wondering if my mind might still be a little frozen from the ice storm!!
Today my son and I went to eat lunch with my neice Lexie at school. We were on the way home driving down our street. As we were getting near our house I seen this statue of a bulldog setting near my landscaping area. I said to my son,"When did I get that dog statue?" My son said "Mom,that's our dog Angus!" I had forgotten about letting our dog loose. For a moment I thought maybe someone had gotten me this statue or maybe I did? I thought what a statue that looks like our dog.
So are you laughing yet? Where is my mind? Is there ice hanging off my head? All we did was go to Wal-mart then to eat lunch with my sweet Lexie! Did I leave my mind at Wal-mart or at school with Lexie? Oh well, thank god for funny mom moments.

Just a quick update-Immigration said all looks good they are just waiting corrections from Dillon. Yeah that's right,I called to check on it today. I am so ready for this approval!!!

My oldest son went back to school today,he was ready. Tomorrow will be the school valentine party. Adyn's will be Monday! I love Valentines Day. I know,I know, everyday should be Valentines!!

Congrats to all families going to get their babies! I hope u all have a great Valentines Day! Gidget

Wonder Working Power....

Ok I am HAPPY this evening! As the boys and I were leaving the house earlier today we saw electricity trucks working down our road.I told the boys that just maybe we will have power this afternoon! We went to my sister-n-laws to do some things that we needed to do, like laundry, and etc. After running a couple of errands we came home then in about one hour...our electricity CAME BACK. We have been without power for 15 Days. I am so thankful to have it back.I didn't really expect to get it back today. So I am shouting for the VICTORY!!!

When I knew it was India.....

Last year on this particular date was when peace came into my heart about where our daughter was going to come from. After researching months looking at country to country even domestic adoptions,I finally knew where the lord was leading us.
I remember looking, looking, and calling till I was wore out!!
I remember this one reference I called who lived in Florida, they had adopted a girl from India. This story was awful sounding, everything was negative! I thought, oh know! She recommended us not choosing India. Then I called another family and got a ok reference, then I called another and got a great.I was so confused. Shane and I flipped thru books and talked till we were blue in the face.
Every time we even thought about other countrys, something would not work out! It was either travel time, cost, closed programs, always one thing that would stop us! We kept being led back to India! It was like when we thought go this way,the lord was saying go back to India! So I finally thought ok this is it,even though we have heard how hard it is to go this way,we are trusting and going ahead with this country.
After reviewing our info from Dillon and asking god if India was it,I got peace in my heart on this day.
I remember how the peace just filled my soul and I wasn't scared anymore! It all just felt so right! I remember telling people that when we made our mind up,it was a peace so great that I cannot describe.
So here we are today waiting on immigration approval and then referral.I cannot believe it.Sometimes I tell Shane I just can't believe this! We are so thankful to be on the list at number 5! We have come a long way in paper pregnancy!
Feb.the 13th the day before Valentines we filled out our first application! I remember Shane and I and the boys sitting down to watch the Dillon video! All we could do was smile!! I look to the day when Shane and I ,with the lord watching over us,walk into that orphange to smile at our baby girl for the first time. I imagine how the boys will be smiling when we get off that plane with their little sister!Until more good news, waiting for Maiya and loving life itself!
Still without electricity! I think I have enough laundry to do until referral time, just kidding, but I do have a STACK,any volunteers? LOL Have a great weekend, Gidget
