Last year on this particular date was when peace came into my heart about where our daughter was going to come from. After researching months looking at country to country even domestic adoptions,I finally knew where the lord was leading us.
I remember looking, looking, and calling till I was wore out!!
I remember this one reference I called who lived in Florida, they had adopted a girl from India. This story was awful sounding, everything was negative! I thought, oh know! She recommended us not choosing India. Then I called another family and got a ok reference, then I called another and got a great.I was so confused. Shane and I flipped thru books and talked till we were blue in the face.
Every time we even thought about other countrys, something would not work out! It was either travel time, cost, closed programs, always one thing that would stop us! We kept being led back to India! It was like when we thought go this way,the lord was saying go back to India! So I finally thought ok this is it,even though we have heard how hard it is to go this way,we are trusting and going ahead with this country.
After reviewing our info from Dillon and asking god if India was it,I got peace in my heart on this day.
I remember how the peace just filled my soul and I wasn't scared anymore! It all just felt so right! I remember telling people that when we made our mind up,it was a peace so great that I cannot describe.
So here we are today waiting on immigration approval and then referral.I cannot believe it.Sometimes I tell Shane I just can't believe this! We are so thankful to be on the list at number 5! We have come a long way in paper pregnancy!
Feb.the 13th the day before Valentines we filled out our first application! I remember Shane and I and the boys sitting down to watch the Dillon video! All we could do was smile!! I look to the day when Shane and I ,with the lord watching over us,walk into that orphange to smile at our baby girl for the first time. I imagine how the boys will be smiling when we get off that plane with their little sister!Until more good news, waiting for Maiya and loving life itself!
Still without electricity! I think I have enough laundry to do until referral time, just kidding, but I do have a STACK,any volunteers? LOL Have a great weekend, Gidget
