Thru the words of a child.....

Well Valentines of 2009 has come and gone. I didn't get anything fancy, nor did I go out of town. We all went to applebees's to eat as a family and just be together. My oldest son Bailey did not feel well.
As I think about the weekend,I am reminded of something special that happened over the weekend. Adyn,my little one on Friday started telling me,"Mamma I love you."He has been saying this numerous times to me,Shane, and Bailey. He will just look at me and smile and say "I love you." When he says this I just feel so happy and loved! What a great feeling this is.
Truth of the matter is that we all want to be happy and loved. The good news is that we are all loved and special to someone. It amazes me how the lord loved me enough to die for me so that I could have the opportunity for a eternal life with him one day. Adyn told me so many times this week that he loved me. How many times does the lord speak of his love in his word? The first commandment is to love God with all your heart mind and soul, and the second is equal as the first and that is to love thy neighbor as thyself. The bible says when you have these, the rest will follow. So look how strong love is. I actually believe that Adyn knows and feels what love is. He is only 3.
My mind is taking me to how awesome it will be to show our daughter love and to teach her about God's love for her. Isn't is great how God's love is leading us to Maiya and Maiya to us. In this adoption journey love is being shown to others and I am glad that our boys are experiencing the love. I believe this will make a impact on their lives.
The word tells us in `John 13:34-35," A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another;as I have loved you, that you also love one another." "By this all will know that you are My disciples,if you have love for one another." Jude 21: keep yourselves in the love of God,looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. I am so thankful for the love that God shows us and how love shines thru the words and smiles of a child.

Just caught up on your last two posts . . . It might seem slow now, but all the agony of waiting will feel like it disappears when you have your daughter. (Kind of like the amnesia you get about labor!)

What a sweet son you have -- and a good reminder of what unconditional love looks like.

Love is so powerful. I am glad your children are learning it through your actions and adoption :).
