The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Signed,Sealed,Delivered..ohYEAH!

Well it is EARLY in the morning,I got up from bed and my anxious, tired, sleepy, body decided to check emails,HAHA, Aren't you glad I did?,we found out that our great judge has made Maiya's gaurdianship official with his signature and the documents have been released to ISRC and they will apply for passport this week. WAHOO!! HMMM what can we do to clebrate this weekend with the boys?:)

Bailey had soccer practice last night,he did good but it was MUDDY. Glad that daddy showed up with his work car! They have their first game this weekend and their team is ISLAND YELLOW! I can't wait to get Maiya a soccer hair bow to cheer on big brother.

I have been working on Maiya's scrapbook called...Waiting for Maiya,of things we did while we wait, next will be the GOTCHA DAY BOOK! It will be like her own story book.:)
I have also been working the yard cleaning out old mulch and weeds, boy it sure takes muscle to rake that stuff. Hopefully I can get it accomplished soon and get rock laid before little princess gets home,so we can have pretty flowers. Packing has already started, but I gotta add our clothes, camera, and a few other things and we are done!!
WAHOO!! Well off to bed gotta get some more ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!
So thankful that they are applying for her passport this week, and the countdown begins.
Would you please pray for her quick passport and for guidance on what travel agent to pick and for God's hedge of protection around everything and for our upcoming trip and for her transition and for our boys!
I believe God has already been speaking to us and dealing with us about what we will see. We watched a movie called Mother Teresa from Family Christian book store,it has really changed us in a special way, kinda shaped our heart, pricked it! I feel God is stirring my heart. Please watch it,if you have not, definate something Maiya will want to see when she is older and worth to buy. Kolkata and loving people is the heart of it! Stay tuned for updates soon....,ICPC,PASSPORT and TRAVEL!

Something shining in the yard?

Ok so this I just had to share...so hold on to your hats, this is well too funny, too cute, boys will be boys. I'm sure you get the point!
Today the sun was out and about 58 degrees outside, nice slighty chilly. The boys were in the backyard playing and Shane and I were sitting in the living room talking by the double window where we could see the boys. So we notice the boys running around and the neighbors dog ...and we kept on talking...until,Shane said..."Gidget,look at A",then Shane started laughing.
Ok are you ready, picture this,Adyn decides to drop his pants and start shaking his bottom. Our mouths just went wide open with a big oh my goodness! We just started laughing,we thought he was showing big B his moon side. Then he decided to stop since he saw us looking out the window. Then the boys came in and Shane said..A,what was you doing and well then B told it,he said that the neighbors dog was bugging us and A decides to drop em and say...Come and Get it! Now where he got that from,we don't have the slightest clue,we cringed thinking oh this is really not funny what if the neighbors saw him? So that's that. A for the first time,in the moon light I guess you could say. What a little four year old, huh? Well then we had to tell him that you do not do that kinda thing and somebody could have seen you! I'm sure many of you have some funny kid moments to share, feel free to leave your funny moment comment, if u like, for a laugh.
Tonight we went out to eat at Cracker Barrell for a nice dinner to celebrate the gaurdianship and visa send off! I was way too tired to cook tonight since I stayed up last night till 1:00 a.m. doing the visa packet, but well worth it and it is out of my hair. Cleaning calls tomorrow and packing Maiya's bag,YAY!!!
Have a nice weekend to you all.
Come on with some new referrals for you waiting mamas!Congrats to all the families that will soon be traveling and of course I am so excited to know that pictures will be on the way of our Maiya Reela.

Maiya's Court Miracle!!!!!

Well I was at the grocery this morning loading up our goodies in the van and I look and Adyn is smiling and laughing at me...I said Adyn what's so funny...he said your phone is ringing!!! So I checked and it was Tami our social worker...so I called back since I missed the call. And Tami says...how are you? I said.. I am fine and I seen where you called...,she went on to say...have u checked your email today? I said no why? She said...Are u ready for this? What do u think it is? Then I just started crying and she said congrats on gaurdianship!!!!!!!!!!! WOW,prayers answered. In fact people have been praying for us and for this step to be done soon. So looks like we got the Lord's approval and the judges!!! PRAISE TO THE LORD!!! Our case was submitted less then a week ago. I am literally shaking as I type this. I went to the bank and of course I told them and we just had a crying celebration. I called my husbands work to tell them to give him the message!! I am dancing in my soul... I bet Shane was dancing at work too,HAHA. Shane finally got a chance to call me,and he was so happy and I could just see that smile on his dirty sweet coal covered face!!
It's a wonder why I have been shopping for the past three weeks and preparing!!! I have been nesting and didn't even know it. I can say we are so thankful and grateful for this today and we would have still been grateful even if it was later when we got this approved. I don't even have words to express to God how thankful I am,just praising and dancing around for Maiya's court miracle! And we just found out also that Alesha's case got approved too,how wonderful and we hope to meet them there in India and let the girl's play!:)
I hope more good news is rolling around quick for other families too. I am looking forward to taking some great pictures of those precious gifts from GOD!!
What a blessed day!!
Maiya Reela, We all love you so much and we are coming soon sweet girl!! May you have sweet dreams and that you will know us, and have joy and peace when we walk into that orphanage! Oh and get some good rest, the boys will be waiting to give you lots of lovin!!
Love you princess. We will be packing your bag this weekend. The visas are done and in the mail as of Friday March 26th. YIPEE!!

It was approved on Wed. India time, our Tuesday night while we were sleeping!!

Suprise # 2...

Maiya being fed...

Maiya in her crib standing up...

Well I was out this morning running errands and then Shane calls me to say we got some suprise pictures of Maiya that were taken in Feb by the director from sweden. They said she only took a couple of pictures while they were there of the Dillon babies and Maiya was one of them. I also know this because Maiya's cribmates our sweden babies.:) So another suprise and we are dancing happy.
Shane and I were talking and we decided that it seems every picture she is making these looks with her eyebrows! LOL:) Shane said maybe she is doing that look because she is thinking...,Who are you? You are not my parents.:)... Cute huh?
Oh she is a princess, hang on baby girl we are waiting on the judge and then your passport and then we will be flying thru the heavens to get you!! Thank you Lord for these pictures that we were blessed to recieve today! Thanks to the sweden director for capturing this beautiful glimpse of our daughter for us.

I was reminded today again thru a email from a friend ( Valerie) who is also adopting from China: Psalm 46:10,Be still and know that I am GOD!!

Birthday Suprise!! YIPPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well last night about midnight I was sound asleep, then Shane wakes me up when he gets home from work and says ..."SCRUTINY COMPLETE!! I said what?,quit kidding!! I didn't check my email before bed last night,I just didnt think about it.:) Anyway,Shane has just been wanting so bad to make it to the email first so he can be the one to share the wonderful news with me! Since it normally is me who finds our news first. So our orphanage will now pick it up and then end of the week and submit our paperwork for a court date. We hope we get gaurdianship by the end of the month or of course I will always take sooner and that the judge signs off the first time our case gets a date. Please pray for this.
This is a answered prayer for this week,Maiya turned 10 months old and well tomorrow I turn 32,I was so hoping for some great news on my birthday, and so we did,and PRAISE THE LORD for this gift for our daughter and us. So scrutiny took about five weeks, which really is not bad. Well off to take Bailey to his math team meeting and run some errands, now I really need to get on top of things!! Bailey had his first soccer practice yesterday and he did great, although it was very muddy!! Have a great week to you all.

Shots,Prescriptions, and she is TEN MONTHS,OH MY!

Well after about two hours at Multicare clinic, our Shots are done,CDC information we have and prescriptions on order and getting filled. As we set in the medical exam room talking with the doctor,it really hit me again that this is really happening! I thought our bill was gonna be around 914 bucks, but all our shots and prescriptions came to 415.00! Insurance picked up some on prescriptions and on our tetanus shot! We got Hep A,Tetanus combo shot, and the Polio shot. Our prescriptions we got were Cipro for travelers diarrhea, yuck. Then we got phenegran for nausea and these were cheap. What costed some was the Malarone and typhoid fever prescription. Not complaining, very thankful that insurance picked up some on these. I said if we get out for under 500.00,I will be happy, and so we did. YIPEE!! We got all that is recommended by the CDC. Our doctor gave us some extra information about traveling to India with recommendations from sunblock to clothing and etc. She was very nice and so helpful! So glad that this is under the belt. Our guy nurse was great, the shots did not even hurt at all!! No kidding, painless. We got the good malaria meds that don't make you sun sensative or cause u to get sick. I guess we will save the rest for clothing shopping and our visa 188.00 fee that we hope to be filing for soon. We went to Bluegrass pharmacy where a friend of ours is the pharmacist and we chatted a while,he was smiling from ear to ear saying how happy he was for us. So it sank in again. We are really going and Maiya will be really coming home with us!! Oh I wish that judge would hurry. I would love to have The BIG GAURDIANSHIP on Thursday the 18 for my birthday. Well I know u think I am dreaming, true I probally am,but atleast I am dreaming big right? :)
Maiya is ten months old today!! I wonder what words she is saying?,What she dreams about,(hopefully us)... that we have been praying. Is she gettin longer hair? What makes her smile, does she laugh?
Well our caseworker is hoping to give us all updates at the middle of the week, once again we HOPE that she has great news to give us!! Pray we hear great news soon. Thanks and Godbless you!

Being Still,and letting God lead!

Well this week I feel in my heart I have really laid it all out to God in our special time, about this court and with waiting for Maiya Reela. I know I have said it,but actually talking to God and letting it slip out of my hands into his finally has happened.
Last week,I was loosing sleep waking up in the night checking emails constantly, this week I see a decrease in that totally. Last week and the week before,I was so anxious. Well that has gone away for now too. When people ask me every week,Have yah heard anything? Of course for a moment in time,it just breaks my heart, then God just easily patches it back up.
Now I am gettin more sleep and I can think clearly to planning and getting things done around here. The word SCRUTINY is no longer hanging above my head. I say to myself that I cannot control this so what will be,will be. I miss being in the driver seat because if I could control it,we would be heading out ASAP. And it would probally not be a good time since it was me driving. So now God is back in control and he knows the desires of our hearts and he knows when it is best for Maiya to come home and the other day when I was praying, the Lord spoke to me right after I prayed about our daughter and he said,"Be still and know that I am God." So thru Christ I can stay still and wait.
Last night I actually got our living room ready for spring and moved furniture,I guess now NESTING is really kicking in. Off to the grocery and gettin ready to attempt the closets!
Maiya will be ten months old Monday the 15th and on Thursday the 18th,I will be 32!! YAHOO! Now wouldn't be great for gaurdianship on my birthday or to be out of scrutiny, just a tinsy thought,ok! Don't forget to set your clocks up a hour tonight,YAY spring is near!!

The TRUE branch...

As I walked outside today,I noticed the nice breeze, the temp being warmer and the sun peeking out from behind the clouds, you can feel that spring is near. Our family verse for the week is John 15:7, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you,ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. This is a verse that we all put it in our hearts and minds during the week and by saturday we all have to have it memorized. Little A just does the best he can. As I was reading today in my husbands bible,I noticed that this verse was under the heading...THE TRUE VINE! Jesus being the vine and if you read down in verse John 15:5,we are the branches. It talks about in verse 15:4,that we cannot bear any fruit on our own and that we need to abide in the vine to bear much fruit. So another words,if we try to bear fruit on our own and not abide in the vine,it will ROT and then fade away. It makes since,as you think about spring coming and flowers blooming, for example, grapes gotta have a grape vine to grow off of,they get their nourishment and strength to grow from the nutrients in the vine, and the water flows thru from the vine so they can grow bountiful grapes. No vine,no root,no plant! Simple.

It is my prayer that the Lord will help me and teach us more how to abide and stay in him so we can produce fruit that the Lord would be honored and people would see and be drawn unto him. I need to learn more how to stay abided in Jesus thru this walk of life and even everyday situations. So that I will not become a branch that is withered and tossed into the fire to burn. John 15:6.

Last night we got a update saying that they will check next week and see if Maiya's scrutiny is complete,so still we are still hanging out in the scrutiny office for now, hoping our case hops on over to the judge soon. I was so down when I got this email,I just went to bed. Then I woke up again just feeling blah. Then I slept even more,I guess I was either tired or just down from missing my princess that is waiting for us. But not anymore,I will not let this get me down,God is in control and with God all things are possible,so I cling to God and the great blessings that he has bestowed upon us including little Maiya. No wonder it says in Phil.4:8,to think on things that are good, honest and true.
So when the devil whispers in my ear..it will be a long time before you bring her home,if you do,...is a big fat lie, actually he is the author of lies.
So now I expose the lies of the devil, and rest in the PRAISE of good things GOD has done and is doing in this adoption and in our lives!!:)
Something awful has happened in Nigeria, some catastrophic acts against christians and even innocent kids. Please pray for these people who are hurting, and pray for the ones that done it to them, that they would be delivered from darkness and brought to the marvelous light of the one true living God. Have a blessed week to you all.

Our growing girl!

Well yesterday the 2nd,I was having a tissy day! Checking my emails, tired, saddened, wanting my sweet girl. Then I just broke down on Shane when he called from work! It will be a month this Friday that we have been waiting on scrutiny, don't get me wrong, not complaining...in fact we are very thankful where we are at in process. It's just that it is so close, and we are so ready to jump on that plane and bring her HOME SWEET HOME!!
SO after my little crying spell...as I am rushing out the door with Adyn to go get Bailey off the bus,I decide to check my email for why? I don't know,I do it all the time. There it was...She now weighs 14.3 pds and is 25.39 inches long!! She has gained in weight and height!! She will be 10 months old on the 15th of March, right before I turn 32. So I am happy, and so thankful for this news and I hope that I can post our scrutiny is complete and headed to the judge soon.:) I have already started to make my shopping list for the trip and I need to start on her book and do all the things I normally do...so I hope this keeps my mind occupied and I plan on packing her bag either this week or next. I just want to have it all coming together when we get gaurdianship and not just starting,so we can enjoy time with the boys before we leave!! So until more news, just hanging on!
Gidget:)

A peek at what's in my thoughts tonight.

Well today is the first day of March and it is here with a slight chilly breezy, cloudy day. I wonder what this month holds! I turn 32 this month on the 18th,but I still say I am a young chicken!! I just got to get in shape to feel the youth right? Green Day is this month and daylight set your clocks up time!! OHHH,I can just smell spring, tulips I love,Easter is coming,I just love it!! The ladies tea at church is near, shopping for the trip is near....MARCH is here!! I am thinking on good things!!

I found myself up early this morning doing what matters most in life. Spending quality time with my savior. This is something I hope that I continue to do and to not let this special time slip away...wether it is prayer, meditation, reading,or simply just drinking a cup of hot tea thinking of God and his goodness and all our many blessings. I want to grow so much more in my relation with the Lord and with my husband and children. Time flys so fast and gets away from us with busy ole life here on earth. We are only here once and I hope that I can be all God wants me to be to him, family and friends... and strangers whom can be touched by the light that God wants to continue to show to people out of all of our lives. I can't be that on my own,I don't have the strength or the discipline. But just like our family verse for the week is...I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13. I need his help!! I am so thankful God answers when I call. Aren't you?

As I think of where we are waiting for our Maiya ... I am forever grateful,I feel we are so close and hope we are. It is my prayer that we get our scrutiny this week if the Lord sees it fit to be ok. Then I get so filled with JOY thinking that the judge approving is next and then we will really be getting things together while we wait on her sweet passport. I hope this goes good too. HOPE is the word here. I am then reminded of that sweet dream that God gave me about us going to get her,and I just cannot wait. I was tucking the boys in tonight and I gave them the smooch attack before bed, kisses on the cheek, as they giggled and laughed! I was the smoochy monster,HAHA. I said boys, just wait,in about 8 weeks or less your little sister will be home with you both..laughing and playing around. Both of their faces just lit up with smiles!!:)

The past two nights I have been waking up thinking about our scrutiny gettin complete and gaurdianship! I sure believe I do need to start taking naps,if I can convince little Adyn too. Today I wasn't so good at convincing...tomorrow I will be!!LOL

There is a part of me that just hopes that I can be what Maiya needs me to be, and what the boys and Shane need all at the same time. I realize now that God doesn't expect perfection, just as long as I strive and do my best at being me. If I would just remember to put God first in it all, then I can be a brillantly multi-tasked wife and mommy!! Such a rewarding part of life, even when I mess up,cause then I just learn another lesson. It is afterall a continual learning and growing process being a mom.

We are so excited that little Maiya Reela will be joining us soon as we LOVE,LIVE,LEARN and GROW together as the Fenwick Family!! Hoping we have good news for you soon and hoping some new referrals come out for families waiting. I can't wait to take some pictures of the new litte ones!! Have a great week.

Bailey I am so proud of you and your great grades....Adyn I am so proud of you singing a new song at church on Sunday!! We love you both!
Adyn's Favorite Song he likes to sing goes a little like this:

I wish somebody's soul would...catch a fire,catch a fire,catch a fire...I wish somebody's soul would, catch a fire,...BURNING WITH THE HOLY GHOST!!
