The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Are my nerves made of steel?

Well I have been curious if any more referrals might be slipping thru this spring and I finally had the NERVE to email Tami and just find out if there might be a slight chance for me to have my hopes up at good news soon. Sadly to say since there have been a few referrals come thru,it is not likely that anytime soon there will be more referrals. Tami just told us to prepare ourselves for atleast a year from Dossier submission or more. She said it would probally be a few months before anything happens. Even if there is more babies going out around summer, there of course is no way of knowing if our Maiya will be in the mix. So with that being said I guess you could say that in all honesty I am somewhat disappointed and discouraged a little and I hope these feelings go away quick!! I need to just enjoy what I am blessed with for now -and that is life itself with a great husband and two wonderful boys and so much more. I need to trust that God is taking us to "Maiya", and that the plan will be just right. I opened my bible to this exact verse earlier before I recieved this news today:
PSALM 37:3-5, Trust in the Lord, and do good;so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Trust is what we will have to do, and I will walk by faith even when I cannot see.

Maiya,We love you and we look forward to seeing your precious face.
Love,Your Forever Family.

Random Pictures of sweetness....

What I'm feeling today...

Well I am back, but just to write what is on my heart for today. Today is a great day that the Lord has made,I will rejoice and be glad in it. Spring is near and all is well in our home,so I am very grateful and thankful on one end. And for the other end,I am feeling like HOW MUCH LONGER is the Wait for Maiya. I know you all say that the hardest part is waiting from referral to travel and I am sure it is hard, but it seems like it wouldn't be as hard since you aleast have a picture of your child's face. But I guess I will find out huh?

I believe we are still number 3 on the list and that is great. So don't get me wrong,I am not complaining, just being a normal mother who is awaiting the moment when she sees her daughter's face for the first time. A time where we can all look and say "That's Maiya". A name with a face. We pray for our precious Maiya everyday and long for the day when we get that blessed call about the little baby girl from India which God has planted in our heart. Walking in her sweet room gives me more hope that she will one day be playing in that room, and playing with her brothers and going to church with her forever family and I could go on and on, but I need to get some things wrapped up for the afternoon.

(Romans 8-15), For ye have not recieved the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have recieved the spirit of Adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,Father. What does this mean?: The Holy spirit places the believer as a child in God's family. This is the intimate name used only by members of the family. It's use here donates the intimacy of the believer's relation to God.

We are looking forward to when Maiya joins her family,so until more- Ta,Ta for now. Gidget.

Turning 31 and some adoption changes....

Well today I turned 31,and thanks for all the HAPPY BIRTHDAYS!! I got a cute family picture frame from my friend Reba and we went out to lunch. My husband and boys got me a pretty cake with tulips on it. My dad got me some gift cards and more important than what I got is all the love from my family everyday.
I guess you could say I have kinda eaten my words since yesterday as far as the adoption goes. We really did not have a urge to change our list and I knew some things that we had checked, but I had not gotten out the list and actually looked it over. So Shane and I looked it over and changed some no's to maybe's and a few yes's. For example,I didn't even have mild asthma checked,I had it as a no. So when we realized that we missed this somehow we really looked over it all and agreed on making some changes. So now our case worker has more of a idea where we stand and we know more too and we still feel at peace with our changes. So we might move up and then who knows what will happen next, maybe months, maybe soon, but until more news we are loving our life together as the Fenwick Family. Looking forward to one more Fenwick.... Gidget

Psalm 6:9

The verse Psalm 6:9 says that The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will recieve my prayer.

We are still awaiting for our referral of our beautiful Maiya. We have prayed that when we recieve that call, that we would know immediately if this is our daughter. We have asked the Lord to let us feel such a peace and that it would all work out and feel so right down to every detail. The Lord has heard us and he will answer when it is time.

This week the first day of spring will arrive and I will be turning 31 on March 18. I even have a few GREY HAIRS,it seems to early to have GREY HAIR!LOL. Bailey has his first soccer game this week and I am looking forward to that and my husband working days this week! Since he is going to Hydraulic School now we need to move our medical update appts. up a week.

As the seasons change,I wonder if our lives will be changing forever with good news of a referral? We will have to wait and see. Even if it don't happen this week,I want to treasure even more the waiting of the call. This part is so exciting and the waiting can be hard but also fun! I know you think I must be crazy, and as much as I want it all to work out and get that CALL,we all know that this adoption process is not in our hands,it is in God's.In fact everyday is in God's control so we still just WAIT and LOVE LIFE!! Amy,you have been in my thoughts and I pray that you hear travel news soon. HAPPY HOLI to you all. Gidget

You're just my cup of tea...

So now it is time to reveal what my friend Tammy had planned for Suprise Day. First I have never had a suprise like this.First we met at our son's school then off to get a pedicure at the mall,it is the best in town! Then we get our cute paper thin flip flops on,her flops were purple and mine were aqua. Then we drive to go somewhere else,I had no idea where we were going.I just knew we had to be there at eleven 'o' clock. It was on the outskirts of town. I was thinking where are we going to someones house? Well it was this cute little house called the "Cranberry Cottage House",a tea house for women and girls mostly. It was so cozy and each little room was decorated different with tea pots, dolls, victorian decor with candles and beautiful flower arrangements. We sit down and order our lunch and tea and chat a while. Then she excuses herself to go to the restroom. So I am sitting there just relaxing and she walks back in with a pretty pink and brown gift basket for Maiya and Maiya's first tea set! She said "Happy Birthday and I love you." I start crying and by this time I am so overwhelmed, happy and feeling so blessed to have such a wonderful friend. The basket had this cute pink rabbit in it that sings Jesus loves me and some cute onesies and pants, then the most softest blanket with her name on it. The tea set is just adorable and what makes it even more special was that we were at a tea house. The food was fantastic and so was the strawberry cheesecake, and hot tea. This is a special day that I will never forget and in eleven more days I will be 31. I needed this unwinding day,I cannot even describe in words what I feel, but I am feeling blessed not just because of this day but because I have a special friend to share life with. As Tammy said today, sometimes in life we forget to just enjoy the little things.Thank you God for the little things in life.

So I will let you all know what the suprise is! Any guesses? Well chat later and lets keep the referrals keep coming,I hope ours is coming soon. My nerves have been shot since Maggie recieved her little girl, just a slight anxious, by the way go and check out her sweetie, she just got new pictures... Gidget

Medical Update Time

Well we recieved a email this morning that we need to go ahead and get our medicals updated in the next month or two, since they expire this month. So does this mean something? I have not the slightest clue. I do not want to get my HOPES UP. We will just have to wait and be patient. Tami said even though they cannot predict when we will get our referral they said it cannot be more then a year old when we send it to India for NOC,so it is best to go ahead and do it.
I scanned our 800 approval to the office this morning,so now it feels good knowing that they have the document in their hand. I have to say that now I am straight about the wait list process and how it works! WHEW! Why I was so confused I don't even know. So that is the update on the adoption process today, until more good news...
