When Strength & Mercy finds me...

Today we are pretty much snowed in...well atleast until Shane gets home. Since I trust his driving in this snow more then mine. HAHA. This morning as I was reflecting and praying it came to me on how beautiful the Lord is and how amazing are his ways.
Sometimes days go by and I do neglect the ways in which God wants me to handle things and sometimes I know I don't live each day to the fullest potential that God has given me. I think I speak for a number of us. But all things are possible with God and his strength. When I am weak,he makes me strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, "My grace is sufficent for you,for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Do you notice that it says the word My in capitol letters? This is where God was talking about His strength, not mine, not yours.
Then I find it so great that when I wake up each morning,God gives me a chance again to grab a hold of him because the word says that his mercy is new each morning. It is up to us to come to him and find that mercy, that strength to get thru life, and trials, and waiting, and I could go on and on.
A time where I thought I was at the end of my rope was when I lost my sister and nephew...but I turned to God and his strength came to me when I was weak and I pulled up on that rope and found his mercy and strength. When I say I found Mercy... I did because after that trial I was in the dumps for a long time then he had enough Mercy to forgive me for neglecting our relationship at times. He gave me strength to get out of that pit of sorrow that had overtaken my life. I remember one morning I was lying in bed and the grief had overtaken me and I didn't even have the desire to get out of my bed and I just lay there crying and finally I just cried out to Jesus and asked him to help me and give me strength because I did not even have it in me to get out of bed and go thru the day. Then in less then 5 mintues a friend of mine who went to my church called me as said.."Hey Gidget,I was driving down the road and God put you on my mind and I started praying for you." She went on to encourage me with some words from the Lord and asked me if I was ok and that she was always here for me." That is just one time and there are many others. So remember God will hear you when you call for help. Even a couple days ago, I was driving to town and I was just thinking of how much I love Maiya and want her home.
I pray that whoever read this post can find God's strength in your trial or trouble or mountain, whatever it may be. And that you find his mercy new each and every day of your life.
I am really finding his strength during this wait to bring home our precious daughter Maiya.
I find peace that he knew Maiya when she was in her mother's womb and while she is in our hearts everyday. God is in control in this wait and he sees the better plan.I still hope for a quick court process.
Please pray that NOC comes this week for us and for April. Don't forget Laura and Liberty's court process too.
Thanks be to the Lord for our blessings that surround us everyday. Have a blessed day to you all.

Unity in prayer for Maiya...

Prayer is powerful and it is a relationship with GOD. I am so thankful this morning. You might be asking for what? Well last night when I was praying...I asked God if we could get NOC this week and so that Maiya's paperwork would go quicky, courts and all. I Prayed for other things and went to bed.
So this morning I woke up and I was talking to Reba,a close friend of mine. She told me this morning that when she was praying this morning, she prayed that we would get NOC this week and for all the paperwork to go quick so Maiya could come home. She said she felt the burden for us and Maiya. She said when she was praying that she was crying. So she was crying out to God on our behalf. WOW! Someone was in unity with me for this week and I didn't have a clue anyone was praying and I hadn't asked anyone to pray. So I find this to be a awesome working of Prayer and it is so beautiful. I know that God hears my supplications and no matter when we get NOC,I trust in him. God loves Maiya so much and I know that he has her best interest. I find myself getting so anxious to go get her cause she is growing up and I long to hold her!! Then I am reminded how we waited almost 17 months for her picture and the Lord gave me strength and he will do it again in this wait. HOLD ON babygirl...we will be there soon. I am recording this because this it is the beginning of the week and you never know what the Lord could have in store!!

Precious Princess

Well here are some pics that were taken on Jan 16th from Tami. Tami said that Maiya Reela was a little tired and she was rolling around with her little friend playing with toys. Tami also said that Maiya cried when she would pick her up and that she is very attached to her Ayahs which is good.:) She is definate teething because she is chewing on toys and she is getting more hair. She just turned 8 months this past Friday. Come on NOC and court so we can get our baby girl home. We should have more pics coming from Seneca hopefully. Praise be to the LORD for our daughter who is sweet as can be. I thank the LORD that his hand is upon our daughter as she awaits for her parents come get her and to take her to her forever home.
By the way,we watched the movie that was recommended by GIGGLES and GRIN's blog, Angie ( A Little Princess). Angie-thank you so much for mentioning this movie, it has blessed us all.
We love it and we are gonna buy a second copy to have just in case this DVD gets scratched. It is about India and a girl with her daddy. All I can say is that every little girl should have this movie. In fact our boys liked it and wanted to watch it again. Off to watch it again and take a Sunday rest before Church. I am sitting here with tears being so thankful that one day our princess will be home with us to watch this movie. My husband also reminded me today that I too am a princess of the KING JESUS. All women and girls are princesses! I never thought about it like that and I am so grateful.:) Have a blessed week.

The beginning of a new chapter...2010.

Well New Year's eve we welcomed in the new year attending our bible study at church following with communion and then eating and fellowship. Then the boys went nite nite and we stayed up and watched this Hallmark movie that my dad taped for us called Christmas in Cannan, wonderful movie, very inspiring. Today we took Lex and the boys bowling and topped it off with mexican. I ended up riding my bike to try and get rid of that mexican.Ha. As the kids are playing I set here and think of what has happened in the past ten years of our lives. We have had times of loss, times of gain, times of pain, times of sunshine, laughter, special times, and so much more. But in the midst of all these things,LOVE is what we have always had thru good and bad, thanks be to the Lord for his love and for all the times he has helped us with strength and filled our souls with hope and joy. I am so glad that the Lord is in charge of our lives and future, and all we need to do is live one day at a time.We are looking forward to what God has in store this year for us as a family and we are thankful that we are now waiting on NOC offically. That was what I was hoping for..to be sitting at the NOC office by the first of the year.:) Have a great weekend and so glad that things will be rolling in the adoption process soon.
